News Flash!!! Light Rail Alive and Well in the Triangle
Sun, 09/05/2010 - 09:35 — BourbonStLight rail is alive and well in the Triangle. If readers have any doubt, they need go no further than to the end of Sumner Boulevard (across the street from 2400 Sumner Boulevard) to observe a brand spanking new parking lot spanning approximately something over five acres, with nice pretty lines already painted, lighting going in, as well as what appears to be a mighty fancy latrine building going up. All this, mind you, is within a long city block walking distance of the future light rail debarkation point for the north side of Raleigh.
Inasmuch as it will be awhile before the tracks are constructed for the light rail system, and Sumner Boulevard extended, perhaps the City, or railroad, or whoever owns this property, can encourage skateboarders to come on out and enjoy themselves. And, no need to worry over negligence issues or any of that since anyone getting hurt on this (obviously) government-owned property will have access to free Obama healthcare.
