Eastern Wake Buzz

Change has become a constant in our world these days. All over the eastern Wake County region the landscape is changing. But one thing remains the same. We still share a strong common interest in what’s happening in our community. The Eastern Wake News blog -- now called the Eastern Wake Buzz -- is the place to go to learn about the changes taking place in our part of the world and to share your thoughts on the news of the day. Regular entries are posted by news staffers Brian High, Aaron Moody, Denise Sherman and Johnny Whitfield. We’d love to share the latest buzz with you. We can’t wait to read your comments and insights.

Best way to use twitter is not ON twitter

Kudos for those health care services using twitter to get thier message out.

It is unusual to see businesses or organizations (non profit or for profit) use twitter to promote thier wares.

As a North Carolina marketing professional (both online and offline)  I've found the best way to use twitter is to not view twitter through twitter.com

Use twitter for outbound broadcasting but don't get caught up in the hundreds of incoming tweets (if you have 1000 or more followers)

Use a 3rd party app like TweetDeck.com to scan tweets using the keywords that people would type if they were using a search engine. You want to look for people tweeting about or discussing what ever service or product you offer.
