A look at 2014 Duke football recruiting

Duke's first bowl berth in 17 years seems to be having an effect on recruiting.

It's been a busy 24 hours for the Blue Devils, as three prospects gave their pledge to join the class of 2014. That trio brings Duke to nine commits for a class that is only expected to take around 15 total prospects. At this time last year, Duke only had one commit, according to a recent Q&A in Sports Illustrated.

"It's moving faster than we maybe even want it to," head coach David Cutcliffe said to Pete Thamel about Duke's recruiting. "You know we get more and more traffic. Our unofficial visit numbers here are probably 10-times as many as when we've started, of legitimate prospects. It's not even just basketball games. When they are on spring break, this is one of the destinations."

Here's a rundown on the nine prospects currently committed to the Blue Devils (stars are taken from Rivals rankings). Click on each player's name to see a highlight video, if you wish. The three most recent commits are in bold. Of course, nothing is official until they sign letters on intent next February.
