Tahira Nyabinghi writes:  My “sister” is my saboteur! On occasional Tuesday nights, she forces me to accompany her to Buffalo Wild Wings and makes me digest at least 12 wings, usually teriyaki or salt and vinegar flavor. To add insult to injury, she then opens my mouth, and plunges a warm, thick, moist piece of sinfully chocolate cake down my throat. My throat is so dry, I have to then swallow the cold, creamy vanilla ice cream that comes with the dessert and wash it all down with a tall, cold, frosty beer! I tell you, I try to smack her hands away and even hide when she makes me go to the car but alas, she always finds my hideout! As you can imagine, the next day, I am in excruciating tummy pain from engulfing such rich and decadent food but it is a chance to spend quality time with my sister and we love our Tuesday .45 cent wings!

My “sister” Miriam is my best supporter! She keeps me motivated and moving when I want to be lazy. She has added such a wealth and depth to my life. She is a gifted cook in her own right and she has been able to tailor her meals at times to suit my particular needs. As I walk on this journey to enlightened health, she, along with my son, are at my side, holding me up, pushing me along my back and sometimes, challenging me by running ahead. The Tuesday indulgence is our way of being silly and playing around. Due to a supportive letter from a blog follower, I have incorporated a strong regimen of Vitamin B into my diet and it has adjusted my attitude with a more positive outlook.

See you at the next weigh in!
