Tahira Nyabinghi writes: I am amazed that time has flown by so quickly. The year is halfway done and I still have about 60-70 lbs to go! I will not give up though. I am still striving for my target weight of 120lbs. I have not written in a while because I have been in a flare up. I have SLE or Lupus and as the days have been above 90 degrees and hot, it has played havoc with my system. I love the sun but can no longer enjoy it like I used to. I also love certain foods, but sadly, that is also off of my list.
Most of the time, I sit on my screened porch, watching the children outdoors or watching mine play on the porch, spreading toys all over the place, running, etc. The energy of youth is wonderful to see and be near. It sees like yesterday, I was rocking my daughter in my arms and now she barely wants to be picked up. She is forming words and trying desperately to make sentences. My son, a young man, is getting so old; it is time for him to drive! I am not ready for that at all.
One of the best things that happened since going raw is that my son is also a vegetarian. He is doing really well is more creative than I when it comes to making dishes, etc. He enjoys the natural flavors of foods and the texture of different variances of tofu. I of course, shy away from anything that jiggles like that!
Looking forward to talking with you guys in a few days, as my strength slowly returns.
