Tahira Nyabinghi writes: It is 9:12 pm and my stomach is killing me! I decided to do a water fast for a few days in order to jump start my new raw food lifestyle and it was a struggle but I did three days. I am going to periodically do some throughout the year to keep myself rejuvenated and focused.
The first two days were rough but the third day was really peaceful. I did not have an over abundance of energy nor was I dragging-just even keeled. This evening, I wen ahead and had a big salad-not as filling as the ones Elaine always had on “Seinfeld” but enough for me. It had romaine, red leaf, green leaf and iceberg lettuce, carrots, radishes, snow peas and purple onions. I had two big bowls. Unfortunately, the fattiness was made up in the dressings; the first time it was Three Cheese Ranch and the second it was Balsamic Vinegarette. Now, you know why my stomach hurts!
Is anybody else on a rawfoods diet? How did you manage it? I know that just ingesting whole foods, live foods will be better for me in the long run. I am so tired of all of this excess weight! When I look in the mirror, I see the body of the woman I want to be, not who I am. I do not like the way I look in clothes and am self conscious about my body image. I will do a weigh in next week and post it here!
