Muriel Watson writes: This has been a busy week. Celebrated my youngest son's birthday on Saturday at Adventure Landing. We had lots of fun and lots of junk food. I did good though. I made sure while the kids were eating their pizza and soda, I ate a salad and water and still stayed very satisfied. We did alot of walking and climbing up and down stairs, so I didn't have to regret not going to the gym for the day.
I have started back to the gym everyday and it feels great. I am now back up to my full hour on the eliptical and last night actually did an extra 40 minutes on it, making a grand total of 100 minutes. Teresa and I are having a hard time getting our schedules to coinside so that we can work out together. We are both still working out, just not at the same times. I have found that writing down every thing I eat, really makes me think twice before I "sample" some thing. It also holds me accountable for making sure that I get my five fruits and five vegies I so often seem to forget. Its amazing how quickly your day can rush past you when you realize that you haven't eaten any frutis or vegetables.
All in all, this has been a great week for my weight loss. I am very happy to say that I have lost five pounds this week for a grand total of 24 since Jan. 1! That, in itself, is enough to keep me motivated. The fact that I have amazing friends and coworkers that are always there when I need them for support, makes it even sweeter.
I hope you are having a great week also. I really appreciate all your wonderful comments on facebook and in person. I do enjoy knowing you all are reading it. Thanks again for taking the time out of your own busy day to spend a few moments with me in mine. God Bless!
