My name is Muriel Watson and I am 36 years old. I am a wife and mother of three wonderful children, ages 13, 15, and 18 years old. I live in Smithfield, NC. I work for Food Lion, full time, as a Deli-Bakery manager. I have been with the company for almost four years.
I have struggled all my life with my weight. I have tried every diet known including Slimfast, Weight Watchers, Curves, diet pills, eating only one meal a day, herbal weight loss pills, cabbage diet, Mayo-Clinic heart patient diet, and many more I am unable to remember. I have read all kinds of weight loss books, including Dr. Phil and Dr. Oz. All have lead to some weight loss at first, only to regain it back later, sometimes more. (Here I am at my heaviest, 394 pounds.)
My weight issues have led me to have Type 2 Diabetes, high blood pressure, depression and back and knee problems. My highest weight was 394 pounds and this was Christmas 2009. That is when it hit me that I was tired of being fat and had to do something or I was gonna die. I started researching different meal plans and found one that really intrigued me. It was called the Jorge Cruise Belly Fat diet. In this diet, you count carbs and sugar only. I started following his plan. I also joined a gym on Jan. 4, 2010 and started working out seven days a week. On August 19, I reached my biggest weight loss achievement of my life, 100 pounds! There are no tricks or magic pills here, just very hard work. (Here I am now, at right.)
I still have almost 100 pounds to lose. I have set a weight goal for myself of 187 pounds. I plan on trying to lose that 100 pounds, in 25 pound increments, this upcoming year. I will continue to use the Belly fat diet and work out at the gym at least 5 times a week, for a minimum of 90 minutes each day.
I know that I will continue to struggle with my weight for the rest of my life. However, it is up to me to make this change to better myself. I only hope that you will benefit from my experience and come along with me as I partake on this journey.

Good for you!
Wed, 01/05/2011 - 22:44 — tnyabinghiI have never heard of that diet, can you direct me to the book or website that gives more information on it? I too, have a goal of losing a large amount of weigh and would enjoy working out together sometimes. I am not a member of a gym yet but will be soon and intend to really focus on getting back in shape!
