The Tampa Bay Rays won't release their 25-man postseason roster until Thursday, but either way there are going to be plenty of ex-Bulls on it -- as many as 14, including a bunch who have been there in the past two or three summers.
After consulting with Bulls PR guy Matt DeMargel, here's the list from 2007 and 2008:
Grant Balfour
J.P. Howell
David Price
Michel Hernandez
John Jaso
Evan Longoria
Ben Zobrist
Fernando Perez
Throw in the 2006 season, and you can add Jason Hammel, James Shields, Andy Sonnanstine and B.J. Upton. Then there are old-timers like Rocco Baldelli.
Another five or six September call-ups probably aren't going to make the final roster unless the Rays have the world's worst stretching session this morning and lose five guys to groin injuries, but that group includes Jonny Gomes, Dan Johnson, Jeff Niemann, Justin Ruggiano, Juan Salas and Mitch Talbot.
