Bobcats blacked out on satellite

Bookmark and Share

If you're a DirecTV or Dish Network customer, don't bother looking for the 39 Bobcats games being broadcast on Fox Sports Carolinas. As viewers in the Triangle found out last night, the two satellite providers are only carrying the Bobcats in the Charlotte area.

According to FSCR spokesperson Kate Hart:

We made 70 Bobcats games available to all cable and satellite service providers in North Carolina and South Carolina. DirecTV and Dish Network have elected to carry our network’s Bobcats’ games to a select area surrounding Charlotte, but not beyond. At this time, DirecTV and Dish Network customers in Raleigh are not able to see the Bobcats.

Time Warner Cable customers aren't affected — last night's game against the Knicks was available on the normal feed on Channel 50. As a reminder, though, only the 39 Bobcats games broadcast on FSCR are available, not the 31 broadcast in the Charlotte area on SportSouth. (Many of those conflict with Hurricanes games.)

The full schedule is available here.

I cannot understand why they

I cannot understand why they changed this. I tried to watch these programs yesterday and I had no idea why they don't work anymore. I thought the TV might be bad wired so I called a San Jose electrician to take a loot at it. And now I finally found the reason but I honestly had no clue so far.

The 70 Bobcats are a lot of games. I don't like playing games. My new computer have almost a hundred games installed and I will delete them soon. free advertising |part time jobs |latex mattress

Bobcats would be shown in the Carolinas

I live on the outskirts of Columbia, SC and was wondering why the Bobcats are being blacked out? You would think the Bobcats would be shown in the Carolinas. I am very confused and was wondering if anyone knows the answer. If the Bobcats are blacked we get no coverage for NBA and as a fan why would you follow the NBA if you cannot watch the team closes to you (within 100 miles).
Seems crazy!
Anyone know if they are on the cable system in Columbia area?

bobcats or whatever they are called

since his yankees network south deal failed, i hope johnson will sell the team to someone who hires a full time president of basketball operations who lives here and has a better history of draft choice selections-kwame brown, adam "the white hope in a minor conference" morrison, etc.

michael, let it go, you were a phenomenal player, but not every ex-player can be jerry west or joe dumars-you are more like elgin baylor, kevin mchale or chris mullin.

Ok...so What ?

I'd rather watch the WNBA team from Charlotte anyway...
I think they played a better game than the Bobcats did last season anyway...Thanks Luke...and for the record...I don't have the TV wired or plugged in to either cable or Sat...too much junk...if you get my drift...
