Bookmark and Share

The buses are running today on slippery Triangle streets, but local transit operators say riders should expect lots of delays and detours (details below).

Check gotriangle.org online for updates on local transit service, and for links to real-time bus locator maps for CAT (www.RaleighRides.org), Chapel Hill Transit and NCSU's Wolfline. Or call 919-485-7433.

Raleigh's CAT says it is operating all routes, but its drivers are unable to reach parts of three routes:

Route 11 (Avent Ferry) is NOT serving Lineberry Rdor Trailwood Hills Dr.  From Trailwood Dr, the bus will turn right on Tryon Rd, right on Gorman St, and resume the normal inbound route.

Route 6 (Crabtree) is NOT serving Duraleigh Rd, Delta Lake Dr, or Deep Hollow Dr.

Route 8c (Sawmill Connector) is traveling north and south on Six Forks Rd only (between Lynn Rd & Six Forks Station).  The bus will NOT service stops on Woodbend Dr, Van Thomas Dr, NewtonRd, and Longstreet Dr.

Durham’s DATA is operating all routes except for part of one route:

The route 8 inbound is unable to service Sima Ave at this time due to ice build the route 8 will be making a left onto Lawson off of Bacon then regular route.

Chapel Hill Transit lists these trouble spots:

Bus routes that will be operating on detours are the A, N and 420. All routes will likely experience delays due to road conditions. CHT will not be operating on the following streets/areas until further notice:
A – Longview and Pritchard Hill
F – McDougle School
J – BPW Club Rd and Tar Hill Dr
N – Longview and Pritchard Hill
V – Copperline, Parkside, Parkview Crescent, Highgrove, Brookgreen

Here are Triangle Transit’s trouble spots:

Route 420 (operated by CHT) is currently NOT serving Durham Tech Orange Co. Campus.
Mid-day Route 420 (operated by OPT) will NOT operate
Route 311 is currently not serving Louis Stephens Dr / TW Alexander Dr / US EPA / NIEHS

Cary's C-Tran will begin service at noon.
