Here's the full apology from Jubeerich for misusing Eve Carson's photo

Note:  I photographed the Jubeerich billboard with Eve Carson's image on March 16, and sent a copy to Jubeerich that same day with the first of several requests for comment.  I received this response a week later. (See latest story, based on this response.)  I don't know how many billboards they posted. I noticed two of them and suspect there are others. In this response, Mathews suggests there was only one.

I am so sorry for not responding to your mail earlier as it was in the spam and was not noticed by me.

CLARIFICATIONS ON THE USE OF SLAIN EVE CARSON’S IMAGE ON THE BILL BOARD IN KERALA.

Before I  start, I would like to express my unconditional apologies from the bottm of my heart .

I am Justy Mathews, one of the directors of Jubeerich.

Due to my ill health, I was unwell and was at my home and was not attending the office regularly from Monday onwards.

Yesterday late evening, one Mr. Krishna  Kumar, reporter of one of the best circulated and leading English daily in India called up to my mobile . I was literally shocked by hearing the terrifying story of Eve Carson’s  slain and all the histories connected to it.

 When, I studied the entire issue, I realised that it was very unfortunate and sad and all these incidents happened only due to an inadvertent mistake from one of the sub contractors or sub agents  who is totally illiterate and ignorant of all these history and related issues, which are beyond our control too and reached in such a situation of spreading these news across the globe.

“ I express my deep agony, pain and hearty condolence and my unconditional apologies from the bottom of my heart for and on behalf of the entire Jubeerich team to Miss Eve Carson’s family members, more particularly to Carson’s Father  Mr.Bob Carson, Her Mother  Teresa Carson, brother Mr.Andrew Carson, friends, class mates, all students, staff, teachers, professors, dean, president ,vice president and  directors of Univerity of North Carolina, Eve Carson’s well wishers, all Americans and North Carolinians and even to the whole world.

We never ever thought that an inadvertent mistake of one of the  agents or contractors or subagents or subcontractors would have been creating such an unfortunate, unwanted, unhealthy and offensive situations to anyone who lived and lives in this world.

If,  I, myself or any one of the Jubeerich staff, agent/sub agent, contractors/ sub contractors or any daily labourers, who have been hired  for any work for jubeerich , have  insulted or offended even the minute personal feelings of any one, in any  which way, once again our heart felt apologies to each and every one of you , my dear brothers, sisters and friends.

I would like to repeat and re-iterate that once again, no one has done any thing wilfully or with malafide intention to hurt any one’s emotions and feelings. Nothing was known to any one of us about Eve Carson.

Being a  truthful, honest and God fearing Christian, I  will never ever be even able to  think  of using the image of a  slain innocent girl in any which way even in my widest dreams, for what ever reasons, by knowing the  entire facts and history,intentionally.

Instantly on getting these news, I have sent one of the new  sub agents or sub contractors  of billboards, to re-check and verify whether there are any boards of Eve Carson erected anywhere in Kerala. We have got the report just now only, from that person and he confirmed that he found the alleged board and removed the same instantly too. In addition to this, he did re-affirm that there are no more boards anywhere in Kerala which carries Miss.Eve Carson’s image.

This is a confirmation  and promise not only  to the Eve Carson’s family and to the News Reporters, but,  to the whole world that  neither the company nor any one related to the company will use Eve’s image never ever for any purpose by Jubeerich.

Kindly excuse us, if so happened, for the insult and  pain occurred for you all due to the inadvertent   mistake  of one of the  sub contractors or  sub agents while designing and placing an advertisement  in one of the remote hilly areas of Kerala.

We have already decided not to use anyone’s photographs until and unless it is with a written contract with those persons to promote our education business.

That apart, we have directed the  subcontractors or subagents to take off all the bill boards which carry any one’s image to make sure that no more incidents like this should occure.

Lastly, once again our apologies for  all the  inconveniences  caused to any one and every one  due to this whole episode.
