Wednesday grocery deals (Aug. 22-28)

Bookmark and Share

Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods are offering great deals this week on kitchen staples such as yogurt, peanut butter, milk, bread, shredded cheese, chicken breasts, ground beef and coffee.

I've highlighted the very best of the deals from the new circulars as well as a host of unadvertised specials with outstanding coupon match-ups.

In the produce department, each of the stores has some nice deals:

  • seedless grapes for 97 cents per pound at Harris Teeter
  • cantaloupe for $1.50 each at Food Lion
  • tomatoes on the vine for $1.19 per pound at Aldi
  • five pounds of Russet potatoes for $1.97 at Lowes Foods

On top of that, Lowes Foods and Harris Teeter are both offering nice "Meal Deal" specials. Coupons make these even better deals.

As always, I'm also including the best of the Kroger deals at the bottom of the post for easier comparison.

Reminder: When I mention a coupon available from Coupons.com, I'm including a link to The N&O's Find N Save page, where Coupons.com printables are available. They are the exact same coupons you'll find on Coupons.com but the format allows for easier navigation.

The Find N Save page on The N&O site is an advertising tool similar to those offered on numerous national websites and blogs. I'm hoping to have a direct link to the Find N Save coupons on my blog installed very soon.

And I'm pretty sure there's a 75c coupon off 2 among the printables...  The original flavor is not on sale, but the cinnamon and the strawberry were.

Even without the coupon, half price is a beautiful thing!
