Wednesday deals (June 13-19)

It's another nice week for deals at the major grocery stores in the Triangle with stock-up prices on eggs and milk at Harris Teeter; butter, cereal, cheese, croutons, ice cream and frozen veggies at Lowes Foods; and produce at Food Lion and Aldi.

My favorite deal of the week? Buy two packages of Borden's singles cheese for 90 cents each after coupons and then get rewarded with 20 cents off every gallon of gas you pump at a Lowes Foods or Wilco/Hess station, up to 25 gallons. That's a potential $5 additional savings!

Read on for all the best deals at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods, Food Lion and Aldi. For easier comparison, I've also included Kroger's deals from Sunday at the bottom of the list.

At Harris Teeter:

Craft Beer promotion: 20 percent off craft beers -- all 6 packs and 12 packs only. Thursday through Sunday. This is the first time HT has offered this sale.

= $2.56 each. An OK price, though I don't usually like to pay more than $2 per 12 pack.

HT penne (16 oz.): $1.

HT pasta sauce (24 oz.): $1.25.

HT All Natural ice cream (48 oz.): Buy 2, Get 3 Free. Regular price: $5.39.
