It's another nice week for deals at the major grocery stores in the Triangle with stock-up prices on eggs and milk at Harris Teeter; butter, cereal, cheese, croutons, ice cream and frozen veggies at Lowes Foods; and produce at Food Lion and Aldi.
My favorite deal of the week? Buy two packages of Borden's singles cheese for 90 cents each after coupons and then get rewarded with 20 cents off every gallon of gas you pump at a Lowes Foods or Wilco/Hess station, up to 25 gallons. That's a potential $5 additional savings!

Wed, 06/13/2012 - 23:37 — fair2middlingI used two Pet ice cream coupons at Lowes last weekend that did not double. Anybody else have the same problem? I didn't notice until I'd gotten home, but I'm thinking of taking my receipt in this weekend and asking about it.

That said, please check your receipts, everyone. I did the Borden's deal this morning and did not get my fuel rewards.
It took three employees 15 minutes to award them to me manually. Customer service fail.
