Wednesday Deals (Jan. 18-24)

If you're looking for the very best deals on groceries, skip the front pages of the sales circulars this week. The best bargains are inside the sale pages or not in the circulars at all.

With the right coupons, you can snag FREE Wolfgang Puck pasta sauce, Colgate toothbrushes and toothpaste, along with 36-cent 6-packs of Coke Zero at Harris Teeter.
At Lowes Foods, there's a great deal on Hormel deli meats and it's the last week to take advantage of the 3-week sale using store coupons on snacks and cereals.
At Food Lion, don't miss out on the second week of its store-brand promotion that rewards you with a coupon for cash off your next grocery order. (Food Lion will actually pay you to buy some of its products!)
And finally, Aldi has some terrific sales on produce and split chicken breasts, which are just 89 cents per pound.

Read on for all the best deals and feel free to post any great deals you find:

At Harris Teeter:

E-vic special: Tropicana orange juice (59 oz.): $2.77. Limit 2. An OK deal.

A quick note on all the Buy 2, Get 1 deals: The entire front page of the circular is devoted to B2G1 deals. This amounts to a 33 percent discount and you must buy all 3 to get the deal. In most, if not all cases, Harris Teeter routinely offers BOGO deals on these products so I'll be skipping most of these B2G1 deals.

There's also a 10 for $10 sale, which has some far better deals included in it. Just remember, you don't have to buy 10 items to get the $1 price.

How do I get Lowe's digital

How do I get Lowe's digital coupons loaded to my card? Also, do they stack with paper coupns? Thanks!

Good question! It's not

Good question! It's not quite as user-friendly as Harris Teeter, but still fairly easy. You have to go to the Lowes Foods website and click on the digital coupon icon. You must register for an account and once that's done you will be able to see the digital coupon choices. Once you click on the coupons you want, you click the "add coupons" button and they will be loaded onto your loyalty card.

Right now, LF is allowing customers to stack the paper and digital but this is likely to change, the LF spokeswoman has told me.

Hope that helps.

coupons

Last year, 332 billion coupons were offered. Use of digital coupons taken from websites like coupons and Printapons is increasing but only 10% most of the coupons are surprisingly from sunday paper
