Just in time for Black Friday, Walgreens is launching a mobile coupon program for customers with smart phones.
The pharmacy chain, with more than 7,700 stores across the country, is adding the scannable coupons to its mobile app.
That means smart phone users will be able to walk into any Walgreens on Black Friday and be eligible for special discounts, ranging in value from 50 cents to $5.
The coupons will be good on a variety of products, including beauty items, gifts, consumables and everyday essentials, such as diapers, the company said in a press release.
Mobile coupons will be offered Nov. 25 through Dec. 24. Details on mobile coupons planned for after the holidays are not yet available.
The Walgreens app, which is free and available for the iPhone, Android and Blackberry, also allows customers to check the weekly ad, order refills on prescriptions and order photo prints stores on your smart phone.
You can download the app right now, but the coupons won't be released until Black Friday.
