Here's a new option for turning your clutter into cash.
Amazon.com is now offering to buy your old CDs.
Payment is with an Amazon gift card, of course.
The trade-in program seems super easy. Search for the CDs you want to sell by title, keyword or artist. Amazon makes you an offer based on condition.
For example, I did a search for Beatles CDs and found I could trade-in "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" (remastered) for $3.60. "Abbey Road" would get me $3.50 while "Yellow Submarine" would be worth $2.40.
Print out a postage-paid mailing label and ship them to Amazon free.
You'll have a digital gift card deposited into your Amazon account about two days after Amazon receives your CDs.
The CDs are the latest items to be added to Amazon's trade-in program. The retail giant also buys electronics, books, video games and DVDs. Learn more about the trade-in program here.
If you've gone completely digital, this might be a great way to get rid of the mountainous stacks of CDs many of us have cluttering up our book cases, closets and attics.

Interesting! I still listen
