The "coupon penguin" has been spotted in Triangle grocery stores.

I saw it for myself at the Harris Teeter on Highway 55 in Apex and a reader reported seeing one at the Apex Lowes Foods, also on Highway 55.

You'll find four different coupons and several recipes this time around:

$1/1 T.G.I. Friday's 12-15 oz. Frozen Snack

$1/2 Premium Palermo's Pizzas

$1/2 Pillsbury Ready to Bake Cookies (14-16 oz.) or Pillsbury Chub Cookies (16.5-30 oz.)

$1/3 Green Giant Valley Fresh Steamers with Sauce (11 oz. or 12 oz.) or Green Giant Frozen Vegetables (12 oz.)

All four coupons expire on Jan. 31 so you've got plenty of time to use them, possibly even a Super Double event if we're lucky enough to have one in January.

Not sure what the coupon penguin is?

It's a large display board, shaped like a penguin, containing tearpads of coupons for frozen and refrigerated foods, along with recipes.

The penguin makes several appearances throughout the year.

Have you spotted the penguin at any of your grocery stores?

If so, please leave a comment to let your fellow couponers know.
