I hit the Nutrigrain, Yogurt, Smart choice milk and Yakisoba noodles pretty hard at both Lowes and HT!! Thank goodness I had a number of dups from a coupon exchange at work

I have to tell you how my best laid plans for super doubles went off track!  If you make your list in a hurry, you can get to the store and find out that your coupons don't EXACTLY match what is REALLY on sale and you don't have a deal!  I usually don't print coupons, but I thought I had two surefire deals.  The kellogs website had cereal that I thought would match up with Lowes sales: online coupon, register deal, sale.  However, when I got to the store, I realized that the coupons were for cereal that matched the register deal only not the sale too, so it was NOT the deal I was looking for.  I did the same thing at HT:  I printed out two recyclebank coupons for OIKOS yogurt thinking I had a coupon, sale, and ZVR.  However, when I got to the store, I realized that it was the WRONG yogurt!!  Oh, well.  This explains why Santa makes a list and checks it twice!!!

Well, I made out pretty well, except for a few boo boos.  I usually stuff coupons in my pocket as I put the items in my cart and this week I came home with one coupon still in my pocket twice, once with Lowes and once with HT.  Then I was at HT for the 2nd time of this sale and was thinking of the savingstar for Stoneyfield
Greek yogurt and had a few coupons (if you register at Stoneyfield there are quite  a few different ones)  and the yogurt wasn't on sale but I was so focused on using the coupons all my logic flew out the window.  Today I spent 16.20 saved 30.64, not too bad I guess considering the yogurt price.  I loved getting the Starbucks coffee and found the peelie on the Hilshire Farms smoked sausage so with the evic that was pretty good too.

Went to both Lowes and HT on Thursday. Got some decent deals, of course somethings were out already. At Lowes, used 9 coupons, spent $14.03, saved $25.84 at HT, used another 9 coupons, spent $23.06 but saved $52.69 (included 4 lbs of strawberries). Went back to HT today and used another 5 coupons, spent $13.86 (but includes 2 lbs of strawberries and ground beef) and saved $23.40.

Best deal was the Starbucks coffee.

This is my 4th year of couponing and although I am not finding as many deals as I used to, I am really grateful for the stores who offer promotions like triples and super doubles. It helps me stretch my dollars. Thank you!

Used a raincheck for BOGO Tidy Cat litter and had $1 peelies.  Also got the free Crave!

I was heading out of town just after they started to an area that has neither store.  I did send my husband at midnight the night before we left to Harris Teeter to grab a couple things we really needed, but really just didn't have the time to do real lists this time.

Received $10 off $50 purchase from an email Lowes had sent out and have one, too, for HT earned from Recyclebank, so am planning to use those tomorrow in combination with my coupons (if, of course, there's anything left!)

I used 20 coupons at Lowes and saved $35.00 with coupons (not to mention the sales I combined them with).  Made me happy.

HT- 29.59 spent, 55.88 saved. used 20 coupons

Lowes- 27.06 spent, 46.92 saved. used 13 coupons

not the best ever, but bought several items we don't normally use to add some variety to the staples.

I saved $116 and paid $40 today for detergent (2), "fancy" nuts (6), shampoo, purely potatoes (where the work's done for me!) (2), meat, glass measuring cups (2), noodle meals (2), nightlight, Starbucks coffee, slow cooker liners, and more! Yessssss! :) I think we can find a bill to pay with that money saved! ;) Already "teaching" my 4 month old how to coupon! She thinks it's funny. ;) 

I went to HT on wed morning and I got 117.63 and paid 19.79

I went to HT yesterday morning on my way to work. I went to North Hills. My first time going there before work on the first day of SD. This is what I got:

3 SB milk + free SB spreadable butter wyb SB Milk - used RC (2/$6)
5 Planters Creamy PB - Used RC (5 for $8)
6 Emeralds Nuts
1 Carpet Fresh
1 Starbucks Vanilla Coffee
1 Hilshire Farm Gourmet Sausage - had a yellow $1.50 off coupon

OOP was $17.60
Total sales/coupons = 61.55

I wanted the Aquafresh Kids but I could not locate it.

I am hoping to get to LF today to pick up Turkey Hill Ice Cream, Emory boards, Dentyne, and Purell. I also plan on making another trip to HT in Morrisville to find the kids toothpaste and get McCains and Reach floss. I am in no rush though to get to either store which is odd for me during a SD event because usually I have a great sense of urgency to get to HT daily during SD.

Never travel without at least some coupons. The prices at the OBX HT run a little higher but still got some great packable deals. Softsoap shower wash was on clearance for $3.45. $1Q made that $1.45 each, dentyne, tums, Nivea Lip balm was on sale for $2.39 each. $1Q=>30 cents. Will try again at my Raleigh Ht & Lowes when I return.

I went to both Lowes and Harris Teeter and got what I went after except for the Dentyne Gum, 80ct or larger. Here's what I got.

(4) Yakisoba-$1ea.-(2) $1 coups; 1 pk Rev. Emery board,$1.95 -$1 coup,; (1) pk J&J Band-Aid $1.65-$1 coup; (3) Crave cat treats-$1.69-(3) $1coups. and  ( Used 12 coups) OOP $2.97,Saved $27.13.  

HT: (2) Emerald Nuts-$6.86-$1.50/2; (2) Scrubbles Bathroom cleaner 2/$5-- (2) $1 coups; (2) Quaker soft cookies, 2/$4(rain check use)-(2) $.55coups; (3) All Detergent $3.99ea.-(3) $1 coups; Milo dog treats $3.35-$1coup; (2)Tums freshers $2.99ea.--(2) $1.50coups; (1) HT Hamburger rolls.  Used 2 -$1 Food Lion coups that DND. Used 14 coups.  OOP $14.25.  Receipt says $42.00 coupons tendered and $16.13 VIC savings.  It was a good deal especially since I got cleaning supplies.

Unfortunatly I haven't been super double shopping yet becuase my husband

was in the hospital ! now I don't have the money! Maybe later I will go!

I did okay today with buying $26 worth of items and spent only $8.68 for all of it and got the Smart Balance free butter with the purchase of milk.

I bought four cartons of Smart Balance milk, with coupons that expired today, and was looking forward to the four free Smart Balance tubs, but only one butter tub rang up free. So I had the clerk pull the others out of my order. Oh, well. Guess the deal is one per transaction, but the shelf tag does not indicate that.

I went early to Harris Teeter and was able to get the last 3 Smart Balance milks but they had no Smart Balance Butter that came free with the milk so I got a rain check.  I had a Rain Check for when they had the S.B. Milk for B1G1F a  few weeks ago and used that so for $1.00 I got 3 S.B. Milk and will get 3 S.B. butters.  Can't ask for anything better.  Keep up your good work

I brought along my Tums coupons for the Tums Freshers, which you can get for free. Unfortunately, I didn't see them anywhere in my local Harris Teeter and I was looking in the section where all the Tums products were. :( If anyone finds a store that has them,  or if I was looking in the wrong place, please let me know!!

Will go to both and use the max coupons to get my freebies!!!
