Super doubles
Tue, 04/24/2012 - 23:21 — swwakeI hit the Nutrigrain, Yogurt, Smart choice milk and Yakisoba noodles pretty hard at both Lowes and HT!! Thank goodness I had a number of dups from a coupon exchange at work
double the fun !
Tue, 04/24/2012 - 22:29 — gracedan12I had a great time going to HT and then LF this week. I got free light bulbs, free cat treats, and great prices on lots more. I used the centsible saver blog closely .. and also checked back when there were updates on sunday. It was a great feeling to spend $ 30ish and save $ 30ish in one shopping trip (HT). I discovered that I really LOVE the Emerald nuts (esp cashew salt & pepper). Luckily many tings that are on our ususal shopping lsit were good deals and coupons to boot. Amy, THANK YOU SO MUCH for your blog !
best laid plans
Tue, 04/24/2012 - 10:42 — newsvlsI have to tell you how my best laid plans for super doubles went off track! If you make your list in a hurry, you can get to the store and find out that your coupons don't EXACTLY match what is REALLY on sale and you don't have a deal! I usually don't print coupons, but I thought I had two surefire deals. The kellogs website had cereal that I thought would match up with Lowes sales: online coupon, register deal, sale. However, when I got to the store, I realized that the coupons were for cereal that matched the register deal only not the sale too, so it was NOT the deal I was looking for. I did the same thing at HT: I printed out two recyclebank coupons for OIKOS yogurt thinking I had a coupon, sale, and ZVR. However, when I got to the store, I realized that it was the WRONG yogurt!! Oh, well. This explains why Santa makes a list and checks it twice!!!
Super Doubles
Tue, 04/24/2012 - 08:31 — bstaytonI was not able to get to either store until Friday night. This fact alone usually makes the trip disappointing. However, I was able to find what I had on my list at BOTH stores. The only thing that was sold out for me was the Reach dental floss. Overall, a very good trip where I was able to score some deals to stock my shelves.
rookie mistakes
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 23:52 — mothar1@juno.comWell, I made out pretty well, except for a few boo boos. I usually stuff coupons in my pocket as I put the items in my cart and this week I came home with one coupon still in my pocket twice, once with Lowes and once with HT. Then I was at HT for the 2nd time of this sale and was thinking of the savingstar for Stoneyfield
Greek yogurt and had a few coupons (if you register at Stoneyfield there are quite a few different ones) and the yogurt wasn't on sale but I was so focused on using the coupons all my logic flew out the window. Today I spent 16.20 saved 30.64, not too bad I guess considering the yogurt price. I loved getting the Starbucks coffee and found the peelie on the Hilshire Farms smoked sausage so with the evic that was pretty good too.
Product still on shelf! YEAH!
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 23:33 — Jenieve21For ths first time in over a year and a half I can honestly say this was one of my best experiences! With my chaotic schedule I've only had to stop at HT but have made it several nights on my way home from work. I was pleasantly surprised that there was still product available on the shelves! Normally when this event happens if I don't make it the first day "all the good stuff is gone" but not this time! One night HT was out of my favorite steam veggies and yet 2 nights later the shelves were full! Nice work HT! I've saved 60-75% each trip I've made! And... I've called the local girls shelter and offered to donate many of the items I picked up! Such a great feeling.
Super Doubles
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 22:36 — chanssWent to both Lowes and HT on Thursday. Got some decent deals, of course somethings were out already. At Lowes, used 9 coupons, spent $14.03, saved $25.84 at HT, used another 9 coupons, spent $23.06 but saved $52.69 (included 4 lbs of strawberries). Went back to HT today and used another 5 coupons, spent $13.86 (but includes 2 lbs of strawberries and ground beef) and saved $23.40.
Best deal was the Starbucks coffee.
SD @ HT/Lowes
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 19:44 — leesabeesaMy GF and I met @ the HT @ 6:45am and all the shelves were full of everything we wanted! WE got a total of $110 and OOP was $30! We split the 20 free items (Crave, carpet fresher, ICBINB etc) and checking out was a breeze. The 2 cashiers and CSM were very friendly and nice @ the Davis/High house location. I need to give HT feedback to praise their employees! Then we went to Lowes and got more Crave's, noodle bowls and the Turkey Hill ice cream! Then we went to breakfast (using a bogo coupon) and discussed our killer deals! Thanks so much Amy for all that you do, its such a timesaver for us!!!
Grateful
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 18:31 — alanitabeckerThis is my 4th year of couponing and although I am not finding as many deals as I used to, I am really grateful for the stores who offer promotions like triples and super doubles. It helps me stretch my dollars. Thank you!
HT SD's
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 18:12 — sweetpotatogirlI was happy to get 2 Wholly Guacs free plus the .99 Smartbalance and the .99 cookie dough.
At least my cats were happy
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 17:14 — kimkkellyUsed a raincheck for BOGO Tidy Cat litter and had $1 peelies. Also got the free Crave!
It was ok....
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 16:54 — buffhome2I really wasn't that excited about super double this go around. I thought that ad at HT was so so and they really didn't have anything on sale that I needed to have. But, I gathered up some coupons and made a trip over. HT....I think I found maybe 2 items that were on sale and matched up with coupons. Not really worth the trip. Lowes was a much better experience. I was able to find most of what I was looking for and the shelves were stocked. Before coupons about $40, spent oop about $10!
Barely got there
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 16:54 — erika483I was heading out of town just after they started to an area that has neither store. I did send my husband at midnight the night before we left to Harris Teeter to grab a couple things we really needed, but really just didn't have the time to do real lists this time.
Shopped at HT and Lowe's Food
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 16:12 — blue15blueI had good succes at HT in Wilmington, NC. Shelves were well stocked. Got to use my Starbucks coupon with the e-vic special. Really did not have many good coupons this time. Used a couple at Lowe's in Wake Forest.
$10 off $50 at lowes...
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 15:36 — lisakrReceived $10 off $50 purchase from an email Lowes had sent out and have one, too, for HT earned from Recyclebank, so am planning to use those tomorrow in combination with my coupons (if, of course, there's anything left!)
I didn't need many of the
Sat, 04/21/2012 - 17:15 — mpheelsI didn't need many of the items with sales and coupons matching this time around, but I did just score 2 bottles of Gain for $1.77 each thanks to $1 coupons that doubled, and a great e-vic Saturday special.
Lowes Foods
Fri, 04/20/2012 - 15:21 — vanderkoyI used 20 coupons at Lowes and saved $35.00 with coupons (not to mention the sales I combined them with). Made me happy.
Giveaway
Fri, 04/20/2012 - 14:02 — willandjaniceI've never been to Lowes, but I usually use my limit of 20 doubles at HT. I think my best trip was only paying $3 and change for 20 items.
HT and Lowes
Fri, 04/20/2012 - 13:25 — lisakeelHT- 29.59 spent, 55.88 saved. used 20 coupons
Lowes- 27.06 spent, 46.92 saved. used 13 coupons
not the best ever, but bought several items we don't normally use to add some variety to the staples.
Not an exciting trip to
Fri, 04/20/2012 - 09:59 — beejay2908Not an exciting trip to either store, but at H-T I got 3 Smart Balance milk (my fav now) with one free LOL butter as they were out of the Smart Balance and Vlasic pickles. At Lowe's I got free Crave cat treats & Yokisobi to donate and found a good deal on jars of Hellman's $3.00 - $1 doubled = $1.00
Saved $116...Yesss!
Fri, 04/20/2012 - 01:32 — jjtn17I saved $116 and paid $40 today for detergent (2), "fancy" nuts (6), shampoo, purely potatoes (where the work's done for me!) (2), meat, glass measuring cups (2), noodle meals (2), nightlight, Starbucks coffee, slow cooker liners, and more! Yessssss! :) I think we can find a bill to pay with that money saved! ;) Already "teaching" my 4 month old how to coupon! She thinks it's funny. ;)
I got some pretty good
Thu, 04/19/2012 - 16:19 — claire7676I got some pretty good deals, although:
-Smart Balance milk coupons rang up for $1.50 & then "doubled" another $1, so that wasn't such a great deal for milk.
-I don't understand the deal with getting Smart Balance spread for free with the milk. It wasn't listed anywhere in my circular or in my store. BUT, getting the Smart Balance for $0.73 each is nothing to sneeze at!!
-I did have an extra coupon from a Kroger best customer mailer for $1/1 Emerald Nuts in addition to the one listed by Amy, so I got a GREAT deal on those!
Thanks for the listings, Amy! :)
Super Doubles at HT
Thu, 04/19/2012 - 15:08 — sarahmae1I went to HT on wed morning and I got 117.63 and paid 19.79
percentages?
Fri, 04/20/2012 - 22:23 — jjtn17I think this is correct...take your total savings divided by total cost of what it should have been. So I believe you saved 84%! :) I might be wrong. :)
Super Doubles at HT
Thu, 04/19/2012 - 22:36 — belledogI don't know the percentage you saved but that was great!
Seafood Lover in the HT house
Thu, 04/19/2012 - 13:04 — cjkoethcI did pretty well at HT with super doubles. Picked up some Act mouthwash, Colgate toothpaste, and Emerald Breakfast on the go with doubled coupons.
The deal of the day was fully cooked lobster claws for $1.99! Seemed like a great deal to me!
SD AT HT and Lowes
Thu, 04/19/2012 - 12:55 — bevaliciousHi!
I went to HT yesterday morning on my way to work. I went to North Hills. My first time going there before work on the first day of SD. This is what I got:
3 SB milk + free SB spreadable butter wyb SB Milk - used RC (2/$6)
5 Planters Creamy PB - Used RC (5 for $8)
6 Emeralds Nuts
1 Carpet Fresh
1 Starbucks Vanilla Coffee
1 Hilshire Farm Gourmet Sausage - had a yellow $1.50 off coupon
OOP was $17.60
Total sales/coupons = 61.55
I wanted the Aquafresh Kids but I could not locate it.
I am hoping to get to LF today to pick up Turkey Hill Ice Cream, Emory boards, Dentyne, and Purell. I also plan on making another trip to HT in Morrisville to find the kids toothpaste and get McCains and Reach floss. I am in no rush though to get to either store which is odd for me during a SD event because usually I have a great sense of urgency to get to HT daily during SD.
I didn't need much this
Thu, 04/19/2012 - 07:54 — DalejI didn't need much this week, but did score deals on the Classico sauce, GG Steamers, Cat litter, & Hormel chili. Didn't have many coupons > .99 at the ready either. Oh, there'll always be a next time.
couponing at the beach
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 23:06 — prescott2Never travel without at least some coupons. The prices at the OBX HT run a little higher but still got some great packable deals. Softsoap shower wash was on clearance for $3.45. $1Q made that $1.45 each, dentyne, tums, Nivea Lip balm was on sale for $2.39 each. $1Q=>30 cents. Will try again at my Raleigh Ht & Lowes when I return.
Or your printer to print
Mon, 04/23/2012 - 15:22 — thetravelingjsOr your printer to print coupons. ha ha I completely agree I always take the coupon box when away.

Wed, 04/18/2012 - 17:09 — abcd3569I did okay today with buying $26 worth of items and spent only $8.68 for all of it and got the Smart Balance free butter with the purchase of milk.
Went to both
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 16:39 — heffnejpI went to both HT & LF today. I did get the tums refreshers (WF) & Vlastic Pickles for free at HT. Lowes freebies: Ortega taco seasonings and Marcel napkins ~ still had last weeks price. Good deal: Starbucks coffee, milkbite bars, All & Wisk detergent. I bought lots more and saved @67%.
Smart Balance butter deal
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 16:18 — patryceI bought four cartons of Smart Balance milk, with coupons that expired today, and was looking forward to the four free Smart Balance tubs, but only one butter tub rang up free. So I had the clerk pull the others out of my order. Oh, well. Guess the deal is one per transaction, but the shelf tag does not indicate that.
Super Doubles
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 16:13 — msamydeeI went to both Lowes and Harris Teeter, which my 4 year old did NOT appreciate! Come to think of it, the other shoppers might not have appreciated the 4 year old either! I had a several items at Lowe's that weren't on sale because I needed them for this weeks meal plan. Overall I am pretty happy. Here is the breakdown:
Lowes: spent $41.56 and saved $20.60 (not that great for super doubles, but considering the other items purchased, I'm still pleased).
HT: spent $8.36 and saved $21.48!!
I went early to Harris
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 15:15 — cbmullsI went early to Harris Teeter and was able to get the last 3 Smart Balance milks but they had no Smart Balance Butter that came free with the milk so I got a rain check. I had a Rain Check for when they had the S.B. Milk for B1G1F a few weeks ago and used that so for $1.00 I got 3 S.B. Milk and will get 3 S.B. butters. Can't ask for anything better. Keep up your good work
super doubles at harris teeter
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 14:53 — Amy234Saved $33 w/ coupons & total bill was $16.02. I think I did pretty good -- used some coupons from Kraft Fresh Taste & was able to get a few items free! Smart Balance milk deal worked as well -- Milk was .99 after coupon & free butter. Thanks for the help!
Missing Freebie
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 13:18 — brookterranI brought along my Tums coupons for the Tums Freshers, which you can get for free. Unfortunately, I didn't see them anywhere in my local Harris Teeter and I was looking in the section where all the Tums products were. :( If anyone finds a store that has them, or if I was looking in the wrong place, please let me know!!
early morning at HT
Wed, 04/18/2012 - 12:57 — fair2middlingI was up until 1am sorting out coupons and making a plan. Then woke up at my usual 6:30 time and went to HT in Raleigh on Western Blvd. Only things noteworthy are that I got the last carton of the red Smart Balance milk. The other blue and purple cartons have April 16 dates on them, so watch out for that. Also, this store does not carry the Revlon nail clippers that I could find, but their aisle of personal items is pretty limited.
Besides the Smart Balance milk and free butter, I got 2 Emerald nuts as a treat for my wife, a Stouffers bag, two Protein Plus bars... I think that's all.
By the way, the links to the super doubles threads from your Wednesday deals thread say they have been changed.
Thanks!!
Will go to both and use the
