Both A.C. Moore and craft competitor Michael's regularly put out 40 percent off coupons with an occasional coupon for 50 percent off one item. But 55 percent off is unusual.

Both Michael's and Joann now have iPhone apps where you can get extra coupons or just save yourself from having to print or keep up with the sunday insert.
