That means you'll be bringing home a dozen bagels and two tubs of cream cheese. All free.

While we're talking Bruegger's bagels, did you know you can score a guaranteed freebie by joining Bruegger's e-club? Newcomers who sign up get a coupon for a free bagel with cream cheese emailed to them.
My bagel bundle giveaway closes at noon Friday, Aug. 31. I'll choose one reader at random to win and I'll post the name on Saturday.

I have found that they do better in the freezer if they are not cut in half first--cut they seem to get dry or a bit freezer burned, but left whole their crust keeps them tastier. They need to be thawed completely before they get cut, but the toaster oven on low works pretty well, and they are worth the wait!
