A big heads up for families with big milk drinkers.

Both Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods have nice deals on gallons of their store brand milk this week.

There are several stellar deals at Triangle grocery stores this week. Here are some of the highlights:

At Harris Teeter, pick up nice deals on Kellogg's Frosted Mini Wheats, Hungry Jack pancake mix and syrup, JIF peanut butter, International Delight coffee creamer, chicken leg quarters, Harris Teeter All-Natural ice cream and Sun Light dish detergent.

At Lowes Foods, you can score nice deals on General Mills cereals, Betty Crocker fruit snacks, Betty Crocker frosting, Dixie Crystals sugar, Smart Balance Spread, and Arm & Hammer laundry detergent.

At Food Lion, look for good deals on produce, including limes for 20 cents and green peppers for 59 cents, a terrific deal on All and Surf laundry detergent, and a three-day sale on select items, including 79-cent Coke brand 2 liters.

At Aldi, be sure to check out the produce prices, including Zucchini squash for just 33 cents each.

Both Lowes Foods and Food Lion also have discounted gift card promotions so be sure to check into those deals.

But my favorite deal of the week has to be the milk on sale at Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods. Both retailers are offering gallons of milk for under $3.

*Pick up free Colgate mouthwash and Chex Mix for 15 cents per bag at CVS this week, along with nice deals on Stride or Dentyne gum, soda, flavored drinks, Pantene and Pampers.

*At Rite Aid, there are good deals on Nexxus hair products and Rite Aid vitamins and a fantastic deal on Huggies Little Swimmers. You can also score a coupon for a free gallon of milk when you buy three boxes of Kellogg's cereal.

*At Walgreens, pick up free Colgate mouthwash, along with nice deals on Skinny Cow candy, Pepsi 2 liters, Off! insect repellent, plus lots of BOGO deals on Walgreens brand products.
