From noon until 5 p.m. TUESDAY, all adult long-sleeve T-shirts will be 75 percent off. (exludes graphic T-shirts and clearance)

Food donation will score you cheap hockey tickets

Here's an opportunity for Carolina Hurricanes fans to help a worthy cause and get a great deal on hockey tickets:

Donate two cans of food and get a BOGO deal on tickets to Wednesday's game against the Montreal Canadiens.

The buy-one, get-one-free offer is good through game time, which is 7 p.m.

Fans are asked to bring their canned goods to the VIP Entrance to the RBC Center.

Donations will be given to the InterFaith Food Shuttle and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern North Carolina. Click here for more details.

If you can't make that game, the Hurricanes will be offering a second BOGO ticket deal during the month of December.

Starting Dec. 1, fans can bring a new, unwrapped toy to the RBC Center in exchange for a BOGO deal on tickets to the Dec. 15 game against the Vancouver Canucks.

Donated toys will be distributed to Wake County Human Services, Interact of Wake County, Helping Hand Mission and Toys for Tots.

A coupon to make you laugh: $1 off SpongeBob wrapping paper

Here's a deal that's bound to make you chuckle: A $1 off coupon on SpongeBob wrapping paper.

The coupon is for $1/1 roll of American Greetings SpongeBob paper. Though it says "redeem at WalMart," it is a manufacturer's coupon so other retailers should accept it.

If you don't like SpongeBob, you can also use it to buy Dora the Explorer giftwrap.

Paired with a sale, this should be a very good deal.

You can find the coupon here at coupons.com. I'm betting these won't last long so print quickly if you're interested. And don't forget, you can print two of each coupons.com coupon.

HOT 60 percent off coupon for A.C.Moore!

There's a truly unprecedented coupon in today's N&O for 60 percent off at A.C. Moore.

I can't recall a coupon for a larger discount so take advantage of it now while you can.

CVS offers eco-friendly Christmas light trade-in

You can do your part for the environment -- and save a little cash -- with a Christmas light recyling program offered this week at CVS.

Get $3 off your purchase of select Merry Brite LED light sets when you bring in your used or broken incandescent light strings.

LED lights, which are priced from $9.99 to $19.99 each, are more expensive than the traditional incandescents but use less energy and will save you money on your electric bills.

CVS does not specify a limit on the trade-in program so if anyone tries this out, please report in!

Kmart doubling coupons this week!

Kmart is double coupons through Wednesday this week, giving you an extra opportunity to put your coupons to work.

You may use an UNLIMITED number of coupons at Kmart with a face value up to 99 cents.

That means a 75-cent coupon is worth $1.50 in savings. But a $1 coupon is worth just $1.

Here are just a couple of the deals that work nicely with double coupons:

Sunday deals are up!

This week's deals are once again focused on the holidays. Kroger and Target have sales on turkeys and all the fixings for Thanksgiving while the drugstores are skipping ahead to Christmas and Hanukkah with sales on candy and toys. My favorite freebie of the week: 3 FREE greeting cards at CVS. Lowest turkey price: 49 cents per pound with an additional $25 purchase at Kroger. And if the regular deals aren't enough, you have a bonus opportunity to save this week with Double Coupons at Kmart.

Read on for a store-by-store list of the best deals at each store.

Database updated with Sunday's new coupons!

The coupon database has been updated with all 69 coupons from today's Smart Source insert in The News & Observer.

Not familiar with the database? You can access it on the right-hand side of the blog. There's a button at the bottom right to view it as a full-size page.

Or, you can download it as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the attachment at the bottom of this post.

One coupon insert coming in Sunday's N&O

Look for one coupon insert -- a Smart Source -- in Sunday's News & Observer.

There are 69 coupons total, worth approximately $105 in savings -- before doubling, of course, which you can do every day of the week at Lowes Foods, Harris Teeter and Kroger.

Belk to entice Black Friday shoppers with $1 million in FREE gift cards

Belk stores are opening at 3 a.m. this Black Friday -- a little late in this year's retail race to lure customers.

But Belk is hoping the promise of free gift cards -- $1 million worth -- will be enough to bring shoppers in the door.
