Database updated with Sunday's new coupons

The coupon database has been updated with all 47 coupons from today's Procter & Gamble insert, along with four diaper coupons on the back of a one-page WalMart advertisement.

Not familiar with the database? You can access it on the right-hand side of the blog. There's a button at the bottom right to view it as a full-size page.

Or, you can download it as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the attachment at the bottom of this post.

Don't forget to shop Freecycle during holiday season

In the midst of the holiday season, I wanted to throw out a suggestion for shopping some place that won't cost you a dime -- Freecycle.

I checked the lastest offerings on Wake County's Freecycle website to give you a snapshot of what you might be able to score for free on any given afternoon.

Take a look:

One coupon insert in Sunday's N&O

Even though it's a holiday weekend, we will have coupons to clip on Sunday.

One Procter & Gamble insert is scheduled. It will contain 47 coupons with a face value of $74.

That's before every-day doubling at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods and Kroger, of course.

Daily deal alert: $10 for $20 at Old Navy

The daily deal site Groupon is offering a 50 percent off deal at Old Navy.

For $10, you get $20 to spend at Old Navy.

A Black Friday weekend GIVEAWAY....3 readers will win a CiCi's buffet for two!

It's Friday, but not just any old Friday, so let's celebrate with a giveaway.

I've got six FREE CiCi's Pizza buffets up for grabs. Three winners will each win passes for two free buffets.

To enter, simply leave me a comment about your Black Friday weekend exploits.

I'd love to hear about the bargains you scored, but don't feel limited to your tales of shopping. Also feel free to tell me about a family outing to choose your Christmas tree, a donation you made to charity or what you're selling on craigslist to make money for the holidays.

If you slept in, watched movies or put out holiday decorations, I want to hear about that, too. Just PLEASE don't tell me you paid full price for anything!

I'll pick three winners at noon on Monday.

If you want to check for your nearest CiCi's Pizza location, go here.

If you're already a CiCi's fan, you may want to consider signing up for its Pizza Perks program, which I wrote about here.

CiCi's has also joined a growing list of restaurants offering gift card deals for the holidays. When you buy $20 in CiCi's gift cards, you get a FREE buffet. Not bad.

Happy Thanksgiving to all!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you, dear readers.

In the spirit of the day, I'll be pausing to spend time with family and give thanks for the many blessings in my life.

Plenty of time for deals tomorrow......

FREE Redbox movies at Walgreens on Thanksgiving Day

Walgreens is giving away one million Redbox rentals nationwide on Thanksgiving Day.

That breaks down to 130 FREE movies per store.

The DVD rental codes, worth $1.20 each, will be given to the first 130 customers to make a purchase on Thanksgiving day.

The codes are good at Walgreens Redbox locations through Christmas Eve.

A feast of Thanksgiving Day FREEBIES at the drugstores

Once the turkey is in the oven Thanksgiving morning, you might want to consider stealing away for a few moments to feast on the FREEBIES at the drugstores.

All three major drugstores -- CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens -- will be open and are enticing customers with lots of deals for free items after rewards. The stores are even paying YOU to carry some of the items out of the store!

Just to give you an idea of what you can scoop up for free: a Starbucks drink, Hershey's and Mars candy, hair accessories, lots of medicines, earbuds and even batteries.

In other words, fill your kids' stockings or a soldier's care package for free.

In most cases, you're limited to one freebie each, unless I've noted otherwise. The deals are good Thanksgiving Day through Saturday evening but if you're interested, I wouldn't delay. Most stores will be hit by die-hard coupon shoppers first thing Thanksgiving morning. Call your closest stores to check when they will be opening.

One final tip: Be sure to check for an email from CVS. Mine contained a coupon for $5 off a $25 order. Also be sure to check any coupon books you may have. The Attractions books l gave to folks at my coupon class have coupons for $5 off a $20 purchase at CVS; $5 off a $25 purchase at Walgreens; and $2 off a $10 Walgreens purchase.

Here's a store-by-store breakdown of the best freebies I have spotted, along with coupon matchups wherever possible.

By the way, I have not yet seen the ads myself. I'm relying on circulars released by the stores online and ad scans leaked by deals sites.
