Here's an updated list of freebies and good deals for Lowes Foods' Super Double coupon event, which begins Wednesday, July 25.
It's shaping up to be a pretty nice opportunity to save, with at least 11 freebies and many more heavily discounted groceries.
I compiled the list using the coupons we received here in the Triangle, along with readily available printables, magazine and tearpad coupons. No sense getting all excited about a deal using a coupon that was only available in other parts of the country.
I've also verified prices and sale dates at my local Lowes Foods in Apex, taking a lot of the guesswork out of your Super Doubles trip.
Below this list you'll find a list of tips to help make your Super Doubles shopping trip successful as well as Lowes Foods' policy regarding Super Doubles.
And finally, a big thank you to the good folks on Hot Coupon World who posted the new sales circular ahead of schedule.

A few tips:
If you want to score the best deals, I would recommend arriving when your store opens. Hours vary but many open as early as 6 a.m.
Don't expect your "DO NOT Double" coupons to double. Lowes Foods policy states they won't double them. If one happens to double, consider it a bonus.
Be patient. Lowes Foods has only done a couple special coupon events in recent years so be forgiving of cashiers and managers. Remember, we'd love to have Lowes to keep offering special promotions.
The rules of the road for Super Doubles at Lowes Foods:
1. You may double up to 20 manufacturer coupons with a face value of $1.98 or less per day. The doubled value may not exceed the retail cost of the item.
2. You may use no more than three identical coupons per order.
3. You must pay sales tax on full retail price.
4. Competitor coupons and store coupons will NOT be doubled.
5. Coupons that state "do not double" will not be doubled.
6. No rainchecks will be given on out-of-stock items.

Fri, 07/27/2012 - 10:49 — EBDarcyIf you have a cat there are some good deals on Tidy Cat kitty litter. Reg price 8.25, sale price 4.99 and with the $1/1 coupon from the paper it comes down to 2.99.
I was able to use a BJ's coupon at Lowe's today for the first time. Usually they specify sizes that regular stores don't care. But there was a $1.5/1 coupon for Cape Cod chips that said any size. Not as good a deal as the Lays but if you like the brand it's a deal.
Also applied a register-generated coupon (can't remember what you call those) from FL . Coupon was $1 off cracker purchase of $3 or more. Bought my favorite Vinta Dare crackers, usually 3.89 for only 89 cents.
BTW, next time you go to the dentist look around for coupons. We were recently there and picked up $1/1coupons for Oral B brushes and floss, Listerine and Crest. They were in the exam rooms.
Great deals, EBDarcy. Love
