Updated 10 a.m. Wednesday.
Harris Teeter's Super Doubles coupon promotion starts Wednesday and runs through Feb. 21 with lots of potential for super good deals. In many cases, we're talking freebies and items for under $1.
I've compiled a comprehensive list specifically tailored to Triangle shoppers by walking the aisles of my local Harris Teeter in Apex to verify prices and sale dates.
If the deal is based on a regular-priced item, I've noted that on the list. If the deal is part of a sale that is continuing, I've indicated that information as well.
All of the coupons listed are among those we received here in the Triangle, along with readily available printables, magazine and tearpad coupons.
A few tips:
If you want to score the best deals, I recommend arriving at your store about 6:30 a.m. That will give you a half hour to shop and you'll be ready to check out at 7 a.m. when the promotion officially begins.
Don't expect your "DO NOT Double" coupons to double. Harris Teeter's policy states the chain won't double them. If one happens to double, consider it a bonus.
Check the Valentine's Day candy clearance. You may be able to score a deal here, especially with the $1.50/2 M&M's coupon from the 2/12 Red Plum.
Don't forget to load your digital coupons onto your Harris Teeter loyalty card because Harris Teeter welcomes the combined use of digital and paper coupons and that means extra savings. You'll find the link on your E-Vic customer email. Note: While the vast majority of digital coupon offers are the same, not everyone gets the identical set so keep that in mind when you're making your list.
Be sure to check your e-vic email from Harris Teeter because you may have gotten a $10 off coupon off a $50 order. (It was at the top of my email.) It will be automatically deducted at the register.
Be aware of this opportunity: Buy 15 participating products, Get a coupon for $5 off your next order. This promo is not contained in the ad but is in the e-vic email. Among the products: Yoplait yogurts, Pillsbury refrigerated breads/rolls and Betty Crocker boxed potatoes. There are coupons to go with many of these products.
I've removed the Green Giant frozen boxed vegetables deal from the list. It is not working in Triangle stores.
You may double up to 20 manufacturer coupons with a face value of $1.98 or less per day. The doubled value may not exceed the retail cost of the item. You may use no more than three identical coupons per order.
