Friday freebies (Sept. 23)

Bookmark and Share

It's Friday, folks. That can only mean one thing: FREEBIES!

Papa John's is giving away 60,000 FREE pizzas every week during the NFL season. Click here to sign up to be a member of the Papa Rewards Club and you'll be in the running to score a free large 1-topping pizza. A total of 1 million pizzas will be given away.

Here's a great one for the kids: a free sample of vitamin gummies in Disney character shapes. Choose between princesses and Cars characters. This offer was still good Thursday evening, but they'll go fast as word gets around.

Click here for a freebie from the folks at Dove. It's a sample of one of its hair-care products: Nourishing Oil Care Leave-In Smoothing Cream.

Mark your freebies calendar for 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 27. That's the date of Cold Stone Creamery's 10th annual World's Largest Ice Cream Social. Shops throughout the Triangle and across the country will be giving away free 3 oz. samples of its Sprinkled with Wishes Creation, which is a combination of  Sweet Cream ice cream, brownie, rainbow sprinkles and fudge. The giveaway is in celebration of the chain's support of the Make A Wish Foundation. Shops will be accepting donations to the charity on Tuesday night and for the rest of September.

Here's one of my more unusual freebies: a free sampler walking tour of Raleigh's Historic Oakwood Cemetery. Click here for more details and to sign up for the tour, which runs from 2 to 3:30 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25.

And finally, here's a reminder about a freebie I posted earlier this week: On Saturday, you can get FREE admission to hundreds of museums across the country, including several in North Carolina. Click here to read all the details on Free Museum Day sponsored by Smithsonian magazine.

Kudos!

Thanks to your postings, I was able to go to two (Larry's Beans and Oakward Cemetery tours) great events which were informative, unique, and entertaining, all for FREE.  Kudos to the hard work in finding this stuff.

Thanks for the feedback! And

Thanks for the feedback! And I'll do my best to keep 'em coming!
