Please note: Today, May 29, is the last day to sign up at the $15 price for N&O subscribers. Starting Wednesday, the class will be $20 and open to everyone.
If you've been wanting to sharpen your coupon skills, here's your chance to take a crash course.
Registration is open for my next coupon workshop, a half-day class on Saturday, June 16.
You'll leave with all the information you need to start saving at least 50 percent on your weekly grocery bill, if not more. We'll also feed you breakfast and give you a nice goodie bag to take home with you.
Unlike my previous classes, which were held at The N&O's offices, I'll be teaching this class at the Halle Cultural Arts Center in downtown Apex.
The session will include information on:
- finding, organizing and using coupons for the items you already buy.
- matching your coupons with the weekly grocery ads to maximize your savings.
- tips on using digital coupons to your advantage.
- the ins and outs of local grocery and drugstore policies and rebate programs.
- meal planning and other frugal-living tips.
The class will run from 10 a.m. to 12:30 at the Halle Center, 237 N. Salem St., Apex, 27502. The doors will open at 9:30 a.m.
The cost of the class is $15, which you should easily recoup in your first shopping trip. That fee includes free parking, a free breakfast, a class handout and a reusable grocery bag filled with some nice freebies.
We'll also do a drawing for prizes, which include grocery gift cards, movie passes, restaurant freebies, cookbooks, children's books and more.
Bring a donation to the Food Bank of Eastern and Central North Carolina and get a second chance to win.
Go to the N&O ZONE page to register.
Registration is open to N&O subscribers only through May 29. Starting May 30, admission will be $20 and will be open to the general public.
