For those of you in the market for a new winter coat this year, here's an opportunity to get a discount and do a good deed at the same time.
Through Sunday, Oct. 30, the Great Outdoor Provision Co. is collecting winter coats and jackets for local missions and giving donors a 20 percent discount on the purchase of a new jacket.
More than 10,000 coats have been collected over the past six years and distributed to agencies helping the poor and homeless in Raleigh, Chapel Hill, Charlotte, Greensboro, Wilmington, Greenville and Winston-Salem.
