DealSaver launches; start saving now

Bookmark and Share

If $20 worth of food for $10 sounds like your kind of deal, add DealSaver to the daily deal sites you keep tabs on.

The online site — brought to you by The N&O — officially launches today with a deal from Kabuki of Cary. Click here to check it out.

To find out each day's deal, you have to register; there's no charge, of course.

Similar to the other daily discount sites, Deal Saver will send you a daily email alerting you to the deal of the day.

All deals are local to the Triangle and, according to the ad in today's News & Observer some good ones are coming: 50 percent off a car inspection,  12 pies for the price of six and 60 percent off green fees and cart at an area club.

McClatchy, the California parent company of The N&O, hopes to introduce Deal Saver in all 29 U.S. markets where it owns daily newspapers by the end of the year.

not Firefox 5.0 compatible

I know you're not the right person to tell this too, but thought I'd let you know that the website is firefox 5 compatible.  It looks TERRIBLE and I'm afraid this will really hurt the uptake of the website unless they get it fixed.  Below is what the top of the website looks like rather than the images that I see in IE and Chrome.

brewmaster

I tried getting the coupon for brewmaster today.  It was $15 for $30 worth of food and drink.  I couldn't find it.  Help.  I really would have liked the coupon.
