Deal Alert: Free Wendy's cheeseburger

Bookmark and Share

Looks like Wendy's has got a new and improved cheeseburger and they want you to try it for FREE.

Head over to Wendy's Facebook page here, click on the tab at the left that says Tour of America, then scroll down to the coupon icon and print.

The coupon entitles you to a free "Dave's Hot 'N Juicy" single with the purchase of a small fries and a small drink.

I just printed my coupon and it expires Oct. 21.

A pretty nice deal.

Social Media Users

Patryce - I disagree.

Facebook, Twitter and Google + are all part of new marketing and companies are smart to use these new methods of social networking to advertise their products and services.  There are a variety of different demographic groups that use FB...not just young people. 55+ was the largest growing segment of FB users for a long while, if not still.  Also, since FB is free...anyone can use it.  Even if you don't pay for an internet connection at home, some people sign-in at the library.  So by providing advertising and freebies on FB, companies really aren't "excluding" anyone. It's your choice to be excluded from any medium (TV/Radio/Newspaper, etc)...and the internet is one of the few that you won't have to pay for, but since you follow this blog and logged in to post your comment...it looks like you already have access. :)

onlyl for Facebook users

Great offer, but you're out of luck if you're not on Facebook. I think someday these Facebook marketing schemes may backfire when companies lose enough business by making it clear they are only interested in customers who use certain social media.

Maybe, but...

I'm not on FB either, so I miss a lot of these deals too, but enough people are on FB that the companies reach the people they intend to reach.  Their advertising campaigns are based on demographics and apparently FB provides the demographics that they want.  Just because some of us Luddites refuse to join the 21st century is no reason for companies to change their advertising.  If they want to reach people like us, they know where to find us.

Lose business by intelligent use of social media?  That is NOT what's happening.
