The News & Observer's coupon database has been updated with all of today's new coupons.
This Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains two inserts -- one Smart Source and one Red Plum -- for a total of 100 coupons with a face value of about $132.
That's before you double the first coupon, of course, which we have the opportunity to do every day of the week at Kroger, Harris Teeter and Lowes Foods. And this week we have the good fortune of an ongoing Super Double promotion at Lowes Foods and the rumored prospect of another Super Double promo at Harris Teeter this coming week.
Look for a brand-new match up of Lowes Foods Super Doubles deals using today's new coupons. I'll have that list posted about 6 a.m. today.

It's a handy tool, listing every coupon we receive in the Triangle in the Sunday N&O.
Reading from left to right, you'll see a description of the coupon; the value of the coupon and how many the coupon requires you to purchase; the expiration date; the date the coupon was released; and the name of the insert in which the coupon can be found.
If there are multiple inserts of the same type in a single week, I'll number them in the database, ie. RP1, RP2. Click the "Insert Key" in blue at the top of the database to help you identify each insert in those cases.
I also wanted to let you know that starting with today's coupons, I'll be noting when a coupon states "Do Not Double," using the shorthand DND. Also starting today, I'll be using the shorthand ETS when a coupon exludes trial or travel size products.

Second, about the Colgate coupon. According to the coupon database, a .75/1 Colgate Optic White, Total Advanced or Sensitive Pro-Relief, 4 oz. or larger coupon was contained in the 2/12 Smart Source insert.
If you are a home subscriber you should have received this insert. The inserts do vary from region to region but should not vary within the county.
That said, some times mistakes are made and a paper is missing an insert.
I'm really not sure what happened in your case but I do apologize!

Mon, 02/13/2012 - 21:13 — emhcouponOk. You mentioned that we have a .75 coupon for Colgate in the 2/12 SS. I did not get this coupon. I live in Holly Springs. Do we get different coupons for the N&O. This is not the first time I have been missing coupons. It is quite frustrating though. Please let me know if I was to get this because otherwise I will contact the paper for a refund. Thanks.
