OK, so there were no coupons in Sunday's newspaper because of the holiday weekend.
BUT, if you're a home subscriber to The News & Observer, your paper MAY* have come wrapped with a nice little coupon surprise.
Instead of the usual clear sleeve, my paper arrived tucked inside a colorful Food Lion ad that included a double-sided coupon.
On one-side: $5 off when you spend $15 on:
- Brawny paper towels
- Formula 409
- Pine-Sol
- Clorox Clean-Up Cleaner with Bleach
- Quilted Northern Bath Tissue
- Clorox Disinfecting Toilet Bowl Cleaner
- Clorox Bleach
- Clorox 2 Stain Fighter & Color Booster
On the other side: $5 off when you spend $15 on:
- Vanity Fair Napkins
- Dixie Ultra Plates
- Kingsford Charcoal
- Kingsford MatchLight Charcoal
- GLAD Trash Bags
- Hidden Valley The Original Ranch Dressing
- KC Masterpiece Barbecue Sauce
The coupons don't expire until Oct. 31. And don't forget to use coupons on individual products to make this an even better deal.
With any luck, your delivery person doubled bagged your paper (mine did!) so you have two coupons and won't have to choose between the two offers.
*(The use of this Food Lion sleeve was apparently zoned to certain home delivery areas. I've heard from at least one reader that she did not get it in southeast Durham while I did receive it at my home in Apex.)
