Triangle drugstores are offering several good deals this week. Among the highlights:

At CVS, there are nice deals on Robitussin, Pepsi, Mars variety bags of candy, Skippy peanut, Lindt chocolate bars, Gillette shave gel and Aveeno anti-itch. There's also a deal on P&G products, including Tide, Charmin, Dawn, Puffs, Pantene and Pampers.

At Rite Aid, pick up free Lindt chocolate, free Colgate mouthwash and free Werther's candy, along with nice deals on Revlon beauty tools, Suave Professionals and Tide.

At Walgreens, look for nice deals on Crest Rinse, Scope mouthwash, Butterball turkey bacon, Skippy peanut butter, eggs (just 99 cents) and Scott paper towels.

Kroger deals, Sept. 29-Oct. 5

Kroger has got several good deals this week, including apples for 99 cents per pound, ground beef and boneless chicken breasts for $1.99 per pound and bacon for $1.99 for a 1-pound package. Plus, the Buy 4, Save $4 promotion on Private Selection products continues.

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated.

This Sunday's home-delivered Final Edition of The News & Observer contains three inserts -- one Smart Source, one Red Plum and a P&G -- for a total of 167 coupons with a face value of about $247. You'll also find one coupon in Parade magazine.
