Matt Garrett of Boston and some friends were fishing in a flat, calm sea about 25 miles from Wrightsville Beach. Garrett says the fish stopped biting and they saw the fins of the huge ocean predator.

The story starts off describing the final seconds of overtime, where Myers Park's Diego Suarez netted a bicycle kick at the death -- but did not count because time had expired. Now that videos of the game have started to hit YouTube, it's more clear than ever that the right call was made.
