As most of you know, Harris Teeter is tripling coupons this week, yielding unbelievably great savings on groceries. In some cases, you can walk out of the store paying pennies for a cart full.

As great as Triple Coupon events are, how about scoring Quadruple Coupons?

I saw a lot of coupon shoppers out this morning on the first day of Triples at Harris Teeter. I felt right at home with my binder and list! I'd love to hear how you did.

I didn't end up with the shopping trip I had planned on, but I can't complain. My total was 41 cents.

OK, folks. Multiple national coupon sites are confirming a triple coupon event at Harris Teeter, starting Wednesday, Sept. 14.

I'm working on a list of good deals that we can get here in the Triangle, using coupons we received here in the Triangle or can legitimately print.

All together, there are 187 new coupons worth $227 and that's before you start doubling or tripling those values.

There are rumblings on all the national coupon forums and blogs about a potential Triple Coupon event at Harris Teeter next week.

I wanted to give you a heads up now just in case this turns out to be true. That way, you can get your coupon organizer up to date, print Internet coupons and do any other prep work to get yourself ready.

This Sunday's News & Observer will contain two coupon inserts worth approximately $96 in savings.

That's before you factor in double coupons, of course.

I'll have all the coupons entered into our handy coupon database early Sunday morning, about the same time your paper hits the driveway.

You can view it online or download it, print it out and take it with you to the grocery store.

I'll also have all the Sunday deals posted bright and early so you can make an early morning dash to the drugstores, Kroger or Target, if you're so inclined.
