What to Watch on Thursday: 'X-Factor' finale, holiday specials

The X-Factor (8pm, Fox) - The winner is crowned in the first season finale.

Disney Prep & Landing (8pm, ABC) - A veteran elf (voice of Dave Foley) is passed over for a promotion and instead gets paired with an eager rookie. The two encounter a violent snowstorm on Christmas Eve, making their job more challenging. "Prep & Landing 2" follows at 8:30, and "I Want a Dog for Christmas, Charlie Brown" airs at 9.

National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation (9pm, ABC Family) - A classic. Family man Clark Griswold (Chevy Chase) is determined to stay home and provide a warm, fun-filled Christmas for his family. But things don't go exactly as planned.

Braxton Family Values (9pm, We) - Toni needs surgery, so the family gathers around her.

Prime Suspect (10pm, NBC) - NBC is burning off another new episode while they think no one is watching. While, I'm watching. Tonight Jane and Evrard investigate a murder in Chinatown that occurred during a game of mahjongg. Also, Reg shares a secret about Jane with Matt.

The League (10pm, FX) - Two new episodes close out Season 3 tonight. In the first episode, Kevin and Jenny bet on the playoffs and Taco wants Ruxin to get more invovled with Taco Corp. In the second, Taco teams up with the Chicago Bears RB Matt Forte for the Shiva and Sacko Bowls.

What to Watch on Thursday: 'Bones' is back and it's baby time

The Vampire Diaries (8pm, CW) - Elena and Rebekah engage in a power struggle, until Rebekah reveals her family's ancient secrets and violent past with Klaus.

Parks and Recreation (8:30pm, NBC) - A local group predicts the end of the world is near, so Tom decides to throw a huge party and April helps Andy check items off his "bucket list."

Bones (9pm, Fox) - In the Season 7 premiere, the team investigate the death of a woman with a history of amnesia, disappearances and head trauma, and whose corpse is found in a shallow grave. Meanwhile, Booth and a pregnant Brennan discuss their living arrangements once the baby is born.

Grey's Anatomy (9pm, ABC) - George's mother (Debra Monk) returns to Seattle Grace after undergoing a botched surgery at another hospital, and the doctors reminisce about their late colleague.

Prime Suspect (10pm, NBC) - Duffy attempts to give a hit-and-run case to Jane when he thinks it can't be solved, and the clues in the case lead Jane and Evrard to a porn king.

Burn Notice (10pm, USA) - In the midseason premiere, Michael and Fiona plan to abduct a hacker in Puerto Rico to obtain his software, but the man has several other enemies to contend with.

The Mentalist (10pm, CBS) - A serial killer case hits close to home for Jane when he meets a blogger obsessed with the killer and who has devoted his life to finding the person.

The League (10:30pm, FX) - Jenny forgets a special anniversary she shares with Kevin, and Taco sets up an offline social network he calls My Face.

What to Watch on Thursday: Unemployed Duke grad tries "The Apprentice"

Nikita (9pm, CW) - Nikita tries to interfere with Division's protective custody of a Slavic leader wanted for war crimes, but is thwarted by a band of mercenaries with the same objective. Meanwhile, Alex is activated ahead of schedule.

The Apprentice (9pm, NBC) - The new season of "Apprentice" begins, but this time without celebrities. Instead we get 16 candidates all impacted by the economic downturn and trying to revive their careers through a job with Donald Trump. One of the candidates is a 31-year-old Duke graduate named James, who went from being a successful New York attorney to an unemployed couch potato. James is seated second from the left below. In tonight's premiere, the prospects have to create modern-day workspaces but there's a fight and also an accident. It's not a real job interview till some blood is shed.

It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia (10pm, FX) - Season 6 opens with Mac defending traditional marriage while the rest of the gang reap the rewards of wedded bliss.

The League (10:30pm, FX) - The show's second season opens in Las Vegas, where the guys have gone to hold their fantasy league's draft. Jenny wants in bu the league commissioner, her husband Pete, doesn't like that idea at all. Chad Ochocinco appears as himself.
