New Sunday coupons = new deals at Lowes Foods Super Doubles

Today's two new coupon inserts equal a whole new set of potential deals at Lowes Foods inaugural Super Double coupon promotion.

I did a quick check of the coupons and matched them up with prices on Lowes Foods to Go, the chain's online shopping site.

Wednesday deals (Feb. 8-14)

The big grocery news this week, of course, is the surprise announcement by Lowes Foods that it would offer its first ever Super Doubles promotion. Click here to read and print my good deals list. There are lots of freebies and other good deals under $1.

Keep reading this post for the very best deals at Harris Teeter, Food Lion and Aldi, along with other Lowes Foods bargains that don't require Super Double coupons.

This week, I especially like the $2.97 per gallon milk at Harris Teeter and the $10 per dozen roses and $1.39 per pound strawberries, both at Aldi.

I've also attached Sunday's Kroger deals to the bottom of the list to make comparison shopping easier for you.

Happy bargain hunting, and please post if you find a good deal while you're out and about so we can all save more.

UPDATED! Lowes Foods Super Doubles deals list

LIST HAS BEEN UPDATED!

Lowes Foods Super Doubles coupon promotion, which starts Wednesday and runs through Feb. 14, is shaping up to be a great opportunity to snag some pretty nice bargains.

There are quite a few freebies and several additional items you can score for under $1.

I compiled the list using the coupons we received here in the Triangle, along with readily available printables, magazine and tearpad coupons. No sense getting all excited about a deal using a coupon that was only available in other parts of the country.

I've also gone a step further, verifying the prices and sale dates at a local Lowes Foods, taking a lot of the guesswork out of your Super Doubles trip.

A few tips:

If you want to score the best deals, I would recommend arriving when your store opens. Hours vary but many open as early as 6 a.m.

Don't expect your "DO NOT Double" coupons to double. Lowes Foods policy states they won't double them. If one happens to double, consider it a bonus.

Be patient. Lowes Foods has never done a Super Doubles promotion and it has been years since they've offered triples so be forgiving of cashiers and managers. Remember, we'd love to have Lowes to keep offering special promotions.

Read on for the list!

New SavingStar coupons make a 'Super Triple' deal at Harris Teeter

SavingStar, the digital coupons savings site, has some new coupons up today, including one that makes it possible to score a "Super Triples" deal at Harris Teeter.

Here's how:

This week, during Harris Teeter's Super Doubles promotion, Special K cereal is on sale for $2.50 per box.

There is a paper coupon from last week's newspaper for $1/3, which will double, giving you $2 off three boxes of Special K.

To get an additional $1 off, go to SavingStar and select the $1/3 coupon on Kellogg's cereals and it will be loaded onto your grocery loyalty cards, including your Harris Teeter VIC card.

When you go to Harris Teeter, be sure to swipe your VIC card and use your paper coupon, scoring yourself a "Super Triples" deal. (The Super Doubles promo runs through Tuesday, Jan. 10.)

While the $1 SavingStar coupon won't come off at the register, it will be saved in a virtual piggy bank on the SavingStar site. Each time you save $5, SavingStar will deposit money into your bank account or send you a $5 Amazon gift card.

If you're not familiar with SavingStar, click here to read the post I wrote about it when the program began last summer.

$5 Food Lion coupon also good at Harris Teeter, Lowes Foods

When you scan your loyalty card at the coupon kiosk at Food Lion this week, you'll receive a coupon for $5 off your grocery order when you spend $30 or more.

It's a nice way to boost your savings at Food Lion, particularly since it doesn't double coupons.

Or, you can print the coupon and take it to Harris Teeter or Lowes Foods and use it there as a competitor's coupon.
