Harris Teeter confirmed today that it is, in fact, considering the sale of its stores.

Coming up this Saturday, Feb. 16, Ace Hardware is offering a 20 percent off "bag sale."

That means you'll receive a 20 percent discount on any regular-priced items you can stuff in an Ace shopping bag.

Of course, there are always exclusions and fine print on these types of sales.

Small appliances and power tools will be 10 percent off.

Check with your Ace store for other exclusions.

Limit one bag per customer.

If you love to dress fashionably but can't stand the thought of paying department store prices, be sure to check out the upcoming Dress for Success sale at Durham's Northgate Mall.

Besides the great prices, you'll be helping Triangle women in need.

The two-day sale, scheduled for Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 9 and 10, is a fund-raiser for the Triangle affiliate of the Dress for Succcess organization, which helps disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, support, and career development tools as they search for work.

In the final hours of this weekend's tax holiday, the Crabtree Valley Mall Sears store is hosting a special after-hours sale on Lands' End merchandise.

Refreshments, a wine tasting and giveaways are scheduled during the event, which runs from 7 to 10 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.

With prices like $2 for jewelry and $10 for women's suits, Saturday's Dress for Success sale in Durham is a bargain hunter's dream.

It's also an opportunity to help Triangle women in need.

Gotta love the continuing good deals on milk we're seeing in the Triangle.

Starting today, July 11, Harris Teeter is offering milk for $2.49 per gallon through Tuesday, July 17.

That's not quite as good as Kroger's $1.99 price this week but still a terrific price.

Old Navy is at it again with its popular $1 sales.

This time around, flip flops are $1 a pair on Saturday, June 30.

The sale is on solid color flip flops only. And you must purchase them in an Old Navy store. No online sales for this deal.

Old Navy has got tank tops on sale right now for $2 each. That's cheap enough to get one in each color.

The sale -- valid in-store only -- runs through Monday but I'm guessing the selection will dwindle quickly as word gets out.

Not all styles are $2 so keep an eye out at the register.
