Anti-Obama author cancels 2nd appearance on white power radio show

Maybe because of this story by liberal watchdog group Media Matters, crackpot author Jerome Corsi canceled his second appearance on the Memphis-based white supremacist, anti-Semitic radio show "The Political Cesspool" on Sunday.

The host of the show, James Edwards, proudly refers to his agenda as "pro-white," and once blogged that interracial dating is "white genocide," just to give you an idea where he's coming from.

Corsi's race-baiting, factually-discredited book "The Obama Nation"  (typical Corsi: "Obama wants to will all the white blood out of himself so he can become pure black") currently sits on top of the New York Times besteseller list -- perhaps artificially, through bulk sales.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has more on Corsi's previous appearance on "The Political Cesspool" here.

More on the recent cancellation here.

Brooks, Dionne coming to UNC

Renowned newspaper columnists David Brooks and E.J. Dionne will visit UNC on Sept. 9 to discuss the presidential race.

Brooks, one of two conservatives on The New York Times op-ed page, and Dionne, one of The Washington Post's most liberal columnists, will lead the free public discussion in Memorial Hall. No reservations or tickets are required.

Brooks and Dionne regularly square off on NPR's All Things Considered.

Brooks spent years working as both op-ed editor and a foreign correspondent for The Wall Street Journal.

Dionne worked as a reporter for The New York Times before joining The Post in 1990, starting his column in 1993.
