Ride Raleigh's buses for free, trade in your dish liquid or laundry detergent for an eco-friendly version, pick up a packet of flower seeds and learn how to turn your old T-shirts into high fashion.

It's all free in celebration of Earth Day.

The lunch bag, made of 100 percent recycled cotton, is free with the purchase of two products from Annie's Homegrown, Seventh Generation, Stonyfield or Honest Kids.

Everything in moderation

Neither I nor my partner are willing to give up craft brews and southern cuisine to be healthy. We're both working on being Flexitarians -- eating more poultry than red meat, more locally raised, organic meat and more North Carolina produce than otherwise. We want to find exercises we ENJOY, and train our brains to grab an orange instead of a cheesy tortilla at snack time. Join us as we embark on our journey to be healthy, fit, and HAPPY.

Deal alert: Organic navel oranges for 79 cents per pound

It's not very often that you can use the words organic and cheap in the same sentence but check out this deal:

Today only, Feb. 3, Whole Foods is selling organic navel oranges for 79 cents per pound.

Considering that 99 cents per pound is a good deal on most regular produce, 79 cents per pound is a super cheap price for organic oranges.

These won't last long.
