West girls down East, 62-55

The West All-Stars held on to down the East All-Stars 62-55 tonight in the annual N.C. Coaches Association East-West All-Star Girls Basketball Game at the Greensboro Coliseum. The East trailed by as many as 15 points in the first half but tied the game at 52 in the fourth quarter before falling.

Nashika "Breezy" Williams, a Northern Durham graduate and an N.C. State recruit, had six points and 10 rebounds for the East squad.

Wakefield's Kayla Harris added seven points, while Wake Forest-Rolesville's Rena Wakama and Amber Nichols of Broughton finished with six points each. Athens Drive graduate Markesiha Gatling had eight rebounds for the East. Wakefield coach Danielle Blackburn served as the head coach of the East squad.
