Creedmoor Crazies tennis team just misses nationals trip

The Creedmoor Crazies, a team from the Triangle, reached the championship final, but it was the Acekickers of Palmyra, Pa., who went home with the 3.5 Division championship at the World TeamTennis Rec League National Qualifier played Saturday and Sunday at the Hempfield Sports Complex in Lancaster, Pa.

The Acekickers defeated the Crazies 26-24 in the championshp final to became one of seven regional champions from Pennsylvania, Maryland and South Carolina to advance to the WTT National Finals.
 
Thirty-four teams competed in seven divisions to win spots in the national finals, which will be played Nov. 5-7 at the Indian Wells (Calif.) Tennis Garden, according to a news release from WTT.  Results are below.
