A model's life at Fashion Week

Everything you've ever wanted to know about models (including when they change their hairstyles!) and modeling are part of this blog, modelinia.com. The Web site's all over Fashion Week, of course, and you can even find out what your favorite model (Lily, Chanel, Erin, Coco ...) is wearing after the shows.

There's also a video on how to walk in high heels, in case you're looking to make a career change, and a slideshow of model runway mishaps.

Who's the world's sexiest woman? Not Angelina

E! entertainment television says the honor goes to Karolina Kurkova, a Czech lingerie model and one of the world's highest-paid models.

Don't worry Angie, you're still hot, only you're hot at No. 3. The second sexiest woman is Israeli Bar Rafaeli, a supermodel who's been tied to actor Leonardo DiCaprio.

Here's the rest of the ranking:

4. Gisele Bundchen

5. Scarlett Johansson

6. Adriana Lima

7. Heidi Klum

8. Penelope Cruz

9. Manuela Arcuri

10. Shakira

Style.com's top models

And at the top of the list isn't who you might think.

Instead of runway regulars Agyness or Lily, it's newcomer Aminata Niaria, a Senegal-born beauty who was raised in Paris. She was first spotted by Alber Elbaz on a Paris street in 2006. So of course, she's walked the Lanvin show, along with Ralph Lauren and Dries Van Noten this season.

Check out the entire top 10 here.

Ethnicity on the runway

Diversity is always on the runway at a Tracy Reese show.
Think weight is the only issue on the runway?

It's not.

Diversity, or the lack of it, is just as big of a problem.

The New York Daily News recently did a study about race and ethnicity at Bryant Park fashion shows this season. Of the 70 shows, which had slots for 1,584 models, 13 percent of the openings went to ethnic models. Eighteen shows don't have an African American.

The break down looked like this:

95 are Asian

94 are African American

17 are Latina

Where diversity is never a problem on the runway is at a Tracy Reese show (see above). Reese, who is an African American, makes sure to mix up her model selection with lots of culture.
