If you didn't win any of the Blue Bell ice cream I gave away last month, you've got another shot at scoring a free half gallon.
My colleague Andrea Weigl is giving away another five half gallons of Blue Bell on her food blog, Mouthful.
As you may recall, the ice cream, which hails from Texas, recently became available in North Carolina stores.
Click here and leave Andrea a comment by Friday, April 20. She'll pick five winners at random.
Good luck.
Go ahead. Allow yourself to indulge in ice cream today.
It's Ben & Jerry's treat.
It's Free Cone Day at Ben & Jerry's ice cream shops, which means you can stop by any location between noon and 8 p.m. today and score a free ice cream cone.
There are 13 Ben & Jerry's shops in North Carolina, including two in Raleigh, one in Durham and one in Chapel Hill. Click here to see all N.C. locations.
With free half-gallons of Blue Bell at stake, I asked you to tell me your favorite flavors of ice cream.
If you had ever tasted the ice cream that hails proudly from Texas and will be sold for the first time in the Triangle starting Monday, I asked you to tell me about that, too.
I have to say, you folks love your ice cream. In big bowls. With lots of chocolate. And caramel. Though there were a few purists among you who stick with plain vanilla.
A suprising number of you had already sampled Blue Bell in your travels and were eager to testify to Blue Bell's goodness. One person described a roadtrip made specifically for Blue Bell. Another pleaded to win on behalf of his pregnant wife who is craving Blue Bell.
I guess the Blue Bell people weren't kidding when they said it has a cult following.
In the end, I picked five winners at random and at least one of them is a Texan.
The winners are:
You've only got a few hours left to enter my Blue Bell ice cream giveaway.
I've got coupons for five free half-gallons of Blue Bell to give away to five blog readers in honor of its March 19 debut in the Triangle.
Tell me your favorite flavor of ice cream and you'll be entered to win. If you've ever tasted Blue Bell, I'd love to hear about that, too.
Do NOT leave your comment on this post. Leave it on the original post here.
I'll pick the winners at random Friday morning and announce them on the blog.
And if you don't happen to win one of my free half-gallons, don't despair. My colleague Andea Weigl, who writes our food blog Mouthful, will be giving away five more half-gallons in the coming weeks.

Starting Monday, March 19, Blue Bell ice cream -- said to have nothing short of a cult following in its home state of Texas -- will be available right here in the Triangle.
So how would you like to be among the first to taste it? For FREE?
I've got coupons for five free half-gallons of Blue Bell to give away to five blog readers.

Be sure to clip the $1/1 coupon on Front Porch Carolina Churned Ice Cream in Monday's News & Observer.
You'll find it on the back of the Triangle & State section, Page 8B.
The ice cream, which comes in some unusual flavors such as Sweetie Tea, Nana's Bread Pudding and Chocolate Rocker, is made in Mooresville by the Mooresville Ice Cream Company.
The independent family-owned company has been making ice cream since 1924, but just recently began offering the ice cream in grocery stores.
You can read more about the company at its website EnjoyFrontPorch.com.
The coupon is good on any one pint of Front Porch ice cream and expires May 31.
Lowes Foods is carrying 14 flavors of Front Porch ice cream in all of its stores.
Burger King is going into the ice cream business.
And just in case you need convincing this is a good idea, the burger chain is giving out free cups or cones of ice cream through Oct. 9 to anyone who buys a value meal.
