Johnny Whitfield, our managing editor, refers to me sometimes as a techie guy. Well the truth is I’m a tech geek! This week I was playing on my iPod Touch and I received a notification to update my LinkedIn app, so I pushed the button to update.

When the app was done updating I decided to check out the new features. On the home page one button stood out to me the most. It’s called“In Person.” With this new feature you can connect instantly with LinkedIn iPhone or iTouch users. One point to remember: iTouch users need to be in a Wifi hotspot area.  The In Person feature receives connection through Bluetooth, so you can add the person to your network.

In Person will be very useful for individuals who attend events that consist of networking, or if you’re that person that loves to meet new people.  

Of course, if you don’t have an iPhone or an iTouch, there’s always the old fashion way: business cards!
