We have winners in our Harris Teeter Super Doubles giveaways

Super Doubles is over, which means it's time to announce the winner of the $25 Harris Teeter gift card I had up for grabs.

Your comments were great. I loved hearing all your savings stories, but I especially enjoyed hearing from two college students who are finding time for coupons while studying. I'm so impressed.

I'm guessing they are the most popular students in their dorms or apartment complexes.

It was also fun to see pictures of your HT hauls. Thanks to everyone who posted photos on the Centsible Saver Facebook page. If you haven't had a look, check it out HERE under "Recent Posts By Others."

OK. Enough suspense.

Here are the winners:

We have a winner in our $25 Harris Teeter gift card giveaway

Super Doubles at Harris Teeter is now but a memory but it's time to pick a winner in our giveaway for a $25 HT gift card.

Lots of folks left comments on the highs and lows of shopping during the Super Doubles promotion. Lots of money was saved and unfortunately, there were quite a few reports of empty shelves.

But that's kind of how it goes on a promotion where you can save 50 percent to 95 percent off your grocery bill.

The winner, picked at random, is:

A free gift card offer from Starbucks

If you drink your Starbucks at home, here's an offer that might interest you.

The coffee company is promoting its K-Cup packs with the lure of free $5 gift cards to spend in its coffee shops.

Here's the deal:

Turn Kroger gift card deal into cheap gasoline

I've written about this deal before, but it's too good not to mention again.

Starting today and running through Sept. 8, Kroger is offering quadruple fuel rewards, offering you a quicker way to score a cheap tank of gasoline or two -- up to $2 off per gallon at Kroger gas stations.

Here's how it works:

Using your Kroger loyalty card, purchase gift cards at Kroger for other retailers. A $100 gift card to Home Depot or Target or Macy's, for instance, will give you 400 fuel reward points, which amounts to a 40-cent discount on gasoline.

(That's double the normal discount.)

Head over HERE for tips and tricks on how to work this gasoline deal to your advantage and read how I scored gasoline for just $1.60 per gallon.
