Thanks to a Fuquay-Varina teenager, you've got the opportunity to eat free on Friday.

It seems Zach Smith won a national Taco Bell Twitter contest that will bring a Taco Bell food truck to town to serve up 4,000 of its new Doritos Locos tacos.

Starting at 3 p.m., the public is invited to visit the food truck at South Park, 820 S. Main Street in Fuquay-Varina.

A coupon for free milk from the Milk Mustache Campaign

The Milk Mustache Campaign over on Facebook is giving away 10,000 coupons every day for a FREE gallon of milk when you purchase three breakfast items.

I was able to print one this morning. But hurry. I'm certain these won't last. Click here to get yours.

I'm not entirely certain what will happen at the register, however, since this is a printed coupon for a free big-ticket item. The coupon is good on one gallon up to $4 in value.

Most store coupon policies state they won't accept printed coupon for free items but since this coupon also requires the purchase of three breakfast items, I'm thinking it will be accepted.

Anyone out there try to redeem one yet? Please let us know your experiences.

The offer continues through Saturday, March 3, and 10,000 coupons will be given away each day. The coupon I printed today expires April 3.

Enter to win FREE milk for a year

Lowes Foods is running a contest right now that could win you free milk for a year. That's one gallon per week for 52 weeks.

You're automatically entered to win when you use your store loyalty card to purchase a package of Oreos, which happen to be on sale this week for $2.88.

But guess what? You don't have to buy anything to enter to win.

Free kids activities to put on your calendar

Keep your kids busy for free with the help of upcoming events at local Home Depot and Lowes Home Improvement stores and the Lego Store at Crabtree Valley Mall.

First up, mark your calendar for the Home Depot Kids Workshop this Saturday, March 3. From 9 a.m. to noon, kids ages 5 to 12 are invited to build a race car and learn tool safety.

The kids will also receive a free apron, pin and certificate.
Click here for more details on the kids' workshops, which are held the first Saturday of every month.

Next up, the Lego Store at Crabtree Valley Mall will hold its next Mini Model Build on Tuesday, March 6.

Lego fans ages 6 to 14 are invited to make a free miniature model. The build begins at 5 p.m. and continues while supplies last. This month's free miniature figurine is a Lego garden, complete with snake.

Looking ahead to next Saturday, March 10, Lowes Home Improvement will hold its next Build and Grow Clinic for children in first through fifth grades.

The project is a "carnival hoops" game. It looks like a miniature basketball goal with its own mini ball. The first 50 children present receive the building kits, aprons and safety goggles. Sign up online here.
