Follow along with Friday's 'All My Children' finale

This is incredible. It's "masters thesis" good: An illustrated timeline of the soap opera "All My Children" (click here to open as a 3-page PDF that can be enlarged).

The timeline was put together by Willa Paskin at New York Magazine. Kudos, Willa.

"All My Children" goes off the air today after 41 years on ABC. A version of the soap is supposed to continue online, produced by Prospect Park (they also bought "One Life to Live," which ends on ABC in January). TVLine.com has photos from the finale.

We have several galleries of photos from last night's "American Idol" finale, viewing parties, and just Scotty in general. Click below for more photos and links.

Scotty Watch: 'American Idol' recap - Scotty wins!

It was brought to my attention that perhaps my recap of last night's show was a little biased toward Garner's Scotty McCreery.

Here is my perfectly reasoned response to that allegation: I don't care.

That's sort of my attitude tonight, too. I hope Scotty wins and I think he deserves to win, especially in spite of 'Idol' shenanigans last night. If my recap reflects a little "homer" lean to it, then come on and lean with me, why don't you?

Tonight's show promises to be a real spectacle. In addition to Scotty and Lauren Alaina, we'll reportedly get to see U2, Spider-Man, Lady Gaga, Tim McGraw, Carrie Underwood, Tony Bennett, Judas Priest, and Jack Black. It's rumored that Aerosmith and Jennifer Lopez could also perform. Somewhere in there, someone (please be Scotty) will be crowned the next American Idol.

And it's showtime...

'Dancing with the Stars' finale: Lots of love for the big winner

Our 'Dancing with the Stars' correspondents Chuck Small and Lenni G have been on the job with great DWTS recaps for us throughout Season 12. In this final week of performances, both Chuck and Lenni G will weigh in with their thoughts on the episodes -- both the Monday night performance episode and Tuesday night's finale. Chuck recapped last night's show, and now Lenni gives us her parting thoughts.

It was the final night of the "Brawl for the Ball," featuring featuring "Little Miss Dynamite," Chelsea, "Ray of Sunshine," Hines, and "Rising from the Ashes," Kirstie.  There was lots of other stuff too which my co-blogger, Chuck, has very ably covered in his post

My favorite "other stuff" - Petra and Dmitry reprising their dance to "You Raise Me Up" with a real live Josh Grobin doing the singing.

'Dancing with the Stars' finale: And the winner is . . .

Our 'Dancing with the Stars' correspondents Chuck Small and Lenni G have been on the job with great DWTS recaps for us throughout Season 12. In this final week of performances, both Chuck and Lenni G will weigh in with their thoughts on the episodes -- both the Monday night performance episode and tonight's finale. Here's Chuck's recap and big news on this season's winner:

Tonight's voter competitions couldn't be more different: On "American Idol," two teen competitors (one of whom is a local favorite) square off to be the next singing sensation. Meanwhile, on the season 12 finale of "Dancing With the Stars," only one of the three competitors left is anywhere close to teenager-hood, and one of the musical guests -- The Go-Gos -- were popular when I was in college (hmm ... three decades ago!).

So, where will things go tonight? I predicted last night that this was Hines and Kym's to lose after their amazing "Drumline" freestyle. Do they follow through on that promise, or do they somehow lose out to Chelsea and Mark or Kirstie and Maks?

Details to be announced today for 'American Idol' finale party

Garner town officials confirmed today that the "American Idol" finale party at the RBC Center on Wednesday night will begin 7 p.m.

But the town will also host a viewing party at the Garner High gym for Tuesday night's performance episode. "American Idol" airs at 8 p.m. and the Garner gathering will begin at 7 p.m.

Thousands of fans are expected to show up to cheer on Garner's Scotty McCreery, who advanced last night and earned a top-two spot on the show.

What to Watch on Saturday: Clinton-Blair HBO movie, "Lost" finale

Lost finale (8pm, ABC) - The two-hour "Lost" finale repeats, so if you had any DVR issues or weird interruptions last Sunday, this is your do-over. The finale is followed by Jimmy Kimmel's hilarious "Aloha to Lost" special at 10:05. Not sure how they will cram the original 150-minute finale into 125 minutes, but it probably involves time travel.

The Special Relationship (9pm, HBO) - The third of Peter Mogran's Tony Blair movies is one focusing on the former British Prime Minister's friendship with President Bill Clinton (Dennis Quaid). Blair is played once again by Michael Sheen, and Hope Davis plays Hillary Clinton. The action of the movie involves recounting the whole Monica Lewinsky scandal, and according to The Washington Post's Hank Stuever, Davis is fantastic as Hillary. Quaid? Not so much. Stuever calls Quaid "awful" and likens his portrayal to Foghorn Leghorn.

Dear Genevieve (9pm, HGTV) - One of my very favorite shows on HGTV features designer Genevieve Gorder helping viewers with problem rooms in their homes. The kitchen makeovers might be my favorite, but they're all good. Tonight she helps a newlywed couple remodel a bathroom. It's not as boring as I just made it sound.

"Dancing with the Stars" winner: A march toward the inevitable

For the results show, we thought we'd let both of our great "Dancing with the Stars" bloggers weigh in. Below we have Chuck Small's take on the night. Lennie G has a slightly different view. Take it away, Chuck:

Warning: Spoilers follow.

Based off Monday's dances alone, I'd actually rank them Nicole first, then Erin and then Evan.

"Dancing with the Stars" winner: An opposing view

'Biggest Loser': Cue the confetti

Oh, Migdalia. Our local homemaker from Sanford was not "The Biggest Loser." She was the biggest loser on "The Biggest Loser," in fact. Her 19.62 percentage overall loss was the smallest of the 22 contestants at the finale by far. The next lowest was James, one of the Brown Team twins who was among the first to go home, who lost 26.39 percent of his body weight.

Migdalia's mother, Miggy, however, was looking all glam with her sporty new haircut and 91-pound weight loss, which put her about in the middle of the pack with a 37.92 percentage loss.

What sweet Daris was sporting was a new girlfriend!
