Coupon database updated

The News & Observer's  coupon database has been updated.

It's a holiday weekend so there aren't any new coupons to add but there were a handful of expired coupons to delete and dozens more that I've put in bold-face type to alert you that they are about to expire -- most of them on Friday, May 31.

Not familiar with the coupon database? You can access it on the right-hand side of the blog. There's a button at the bottom right to view it as a full-size page.

Or, you can download it as an Excel spreadsheet by clicking on the attachment at the bottom of this post.

It's a handy tool, giving you the most timely and detailed list of coupons in the Triangle.

New month means it's time for coupon chores

It's April 1, which means it's time to do a few coupon chores. No joke.

If you haven't already, take a little time to purge your coupon organizer of all the March coupons that are now expired. I cleaned out my coupon binder Sunday while on an Easter Day road trip.

Time for a little coupon housekeeping

It's a new month, which means it's time to do a little coupon housekeeping.

It's Aug. 1: Time to update your coupon stash

Today's Aug. 1, which means it's time for a little housekeeping for those of us who tote coupon organizers on our shopping trips.

A whopping 286 coupons expired on July 31 so it's time to purge.

Once you've got that job done, there are 191 new coupons to file from the four inserts in Sunday's paper.
